COUNTY OF KAWHIA.
Notice of Results of Polls.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Awaroa Special Rating Area No. 3 taken on the 27th day of October, 1920, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of metalling portions of the Awaroa–Mahoe and Kauri Roads, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 22, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Kawhia-Pirongia Special Rating Area taken on the 27th day of October, 1920, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of metalling portion of the Kawhia–Pirongia Road, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 19, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Kauri Special Rating Area taken on the 27th day of October, 1920, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £3,500 for the purpose of metalling portions of the Kauri and Kihi Roads, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 4, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 11.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Peninsula Riding of the County of Kaikoura taken on the 15th day of October, 1920, on the proposal of the Kaikoura County Council to borrow the sum of £5,500 for the purpose of supplementing the special loan authorized by poll of the ratepayers of the said riding held on 7th October, 1919, the amount of such supplementary loan to be added to the original loan and used for an electrical installation within the Peninsula Riding, and the provision and erection of all plant, material, or things incidental thereto, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 83, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 12 ; informal votes, 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll of Loan.
In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Acts amending same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of September, 1920, a proposal was submitted by the Mangapapa Town Board to the ratepayers of the town district for raising a special loan of £3,220 for rebuilding three bridges—viz., Upper Stout Street Bridge and approaches (across the Mangapapa Stream), Oswald Street Bridge and approaches, and Massey Street Bridge and approaches, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows : For, 79 ; against, 10 ; informal, 1.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Aroha taken on the 27th day of October, 1920, on the proposal of the Te Aroha Borough Council to borrow the sum of £8,400 to provide the Council’s share of the cost of erecting a ferro-concrete traffic-bridge over the Waihou River, at the foot of Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 155, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
