And whereas it is expedient to validate the said proceedings
in connection with the making of the said special order :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by
section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Municipal Cor-
porations Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby declare that the said special order shall be valid to all
intents and purposes as if the said seal had been properly
affixed thereto, and as if the twenty-fourth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty, had been fixed therein
as the date of the coming into force of the said by-laws ; and
doth further declare that the said proceedings shall not be
called in question by reason only of the irregularities aforesaid.

Varying the Condition as to setting back the Building-line of
Portion of Wilkinson Street in the City of Wellington, imposed
by Order in Council under Section 117 of the Public Works
Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
November, 1920.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in
Council dated the twenty-first day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, exempt-
ing Wilkinson Street, in the City of Wellington, from the
provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public
Works Act, 1908, subject to a condition as to the building-
line, by varying the said condition with regard to the building-
line so that no building or part of a building shall at any time
be erected on the south-western side of the portion of Wilkin-
son Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance
of twenty-two feet from the centre-line of the said portion of
street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Wilkinson Street, situated in the Wel-
ington Land District, City of Wellington, fronting Sub.
Lot 2 of Lot 2, D.P. 2520, part Section 424, Town of Welling-
ton. As the said portion of street is more particularly de-
lineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49552, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Vesting a Reserve in the Otekaike Soldiers Memorial Hall
Trust (Incorporated).

JELLICOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
November, 1920.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart for a site for a public hall :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is
expedient to vest the said reserve in the Otekaike Soldiers
Memorial Hall Trust (Incorporated) :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and
after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in
the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Otekaike
Soldiers Memorial Hall Trust (Incorporated), in trust, for a
site for a public hall.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Section 69A, Otekaike Settlement : Area, 3 roods.

Vesting a Reserve in the Wharepapa Road Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
November, 1920.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been permanently reserved for a site for a road-
man’s cottage : And whereas it is expedient to vest the said
reserve in the Corporation of the Wharepapa Road District :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Do-
mains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that from and after
the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the
Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of
the Wharepapa Road District, in trust, for a site for a road-
man’s cottage.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Section 8, Block I, Hingaia Township : Area, 3 acres 1 rood
38 perches.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Selwyn County
Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
November, 1920.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been permanently reserved for gravel purposes :
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said
reserve should be vested in the Selwyn County Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section two of the Public Reserves
and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby vest the
control of the said reserve in the Selwyn County Council.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being Reserve
2287B, Block VII, Selwyn Survey District, and containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less.

Notice setting apart Lands under Section 13 of the Coal-mines
Amendment Act, 1919.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto
have been purchased for coal-mining operations under
Part II of the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and it is considered
advisable to set such lands apart for the purposes of that
Part of the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by section 13 (2) of the Coal-mines Amendment Act,
1919, do hereby set apart the said lands for the purposes of
Part II of the Coal-mines Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land situated in the Land District of
Auckland, and comprising Sections 115, 116, 125, and 130,
Parish of Whangape, and Sections 202, 204, 207, and 209,
Parish of Pepepe, Rangiriri Survey District, containing 1,289
acres 0 roods 21 perches, more or less. As the same are
delineated on the plan marked Mines 34/1, and deposited in
the Head Office, Mines Department, Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 8th day of November, 1920.
