Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1920.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
SCHEDULE.
THE balance of that portion of Pakiri No. 1 Block, situated in Block X, and lying between the road and the sea, Pakiri Survey District: Approximate area, 5,611 acres.

Regulation relating to Cream-of-Tartar Substitutes.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations made under the said Act on the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATION 2A (relating to cream-of-tartar substitutes) is hereby revoked, and the following substituted therefor:—
2A. CREAM-OF-TARTAR SUBSTITUTES.
(a.) Cream-of-tartar substitutes shall contain not more than one part per centum of sulphates, calculated as calcium sulphate (CaSO₄), not more than one one-hundredth of a grain of arsenic, calculated as arsenious oxide, to the pound, and not more than one-seventh of a grain of lead to the pound.
(b.) There shall be written in the principal label attached to every package containing an acid or an acid salt, other than cream-of-tartar, used in baking the name of the acid or acid salt, and where two or more names are available the name or names most generally understood by the public shall be used, and such name or names shall be conspicuously written in bold-faced sans-serif capital types of not less than eighteen points face measurement.

Portion of Wellington Street, in the City of Nelson, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Nelson City Council on the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty—viz., “The Nelson City Council, being the local authority having control of Wellington Street in the City of Nelson, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the said street from its intersection with Kawai Street to its intersection with Mount Street”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Wellington Street, in the Nelson Land District, City of Nelson, situated between Kawai Street and Mount Street. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49511, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Northern Side of Portion of Ford Road, in the City of Christchurch, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty—viz., “The Christchurch City Council, having control of Ford Road in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the northern side of that portion of Ford Road between Hawford Street and the River Heathcote”; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Ford Road, in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, situated between Hawford Road and the River Road abutting on the Heathcote River, extending from the centre-line of such street to the northern boundary thereof. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50071, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Validating Special Order made by Dargaville Borough Council making By-laws.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Dargaville Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the said Council”), on the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, made, by way of special order (hereinafter referred to as “the said special order”), by-laws (hereinafter referred to as “the said by-laws”) under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, and the By-laws Act, 1910:
And whereas the said special order was irregularly made, in that it was omitted, firstly, to fix in the said special order the date on which the said by-laws were to come into force; and, secondly, to affix to the said special order the common seal (hereinafter referred to as “the said seal”) of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Dargaville:
And whereas the said Council, at a special meeting held on the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, resolved that the said by-laws should come into force on the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and that the said seal be affixed to the said special order:
