- The licensee shall keep any stopbanks which he may
construct for the purpose of reclaiming the land included
in this license in good order and condition, and shall provide
and maintain all necessary outlets for storm-water. - The licensee shall keep the land included in this license
free from noxious weeds. - The licensee shall not assign, charge, or part with any
right, power, or privilege granted by this license without the
previous written consent of the Minister of Marine. - The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this
Order in Council shall continue in force for twenty-one years
from the date hereof, unless in the meantime such rights,
powers, or privileges shall be altered, modified, or revoked
by competent authority. - If the licensee commits or suffers a breach of any of the
conditions of this license, the license may be revoked and
determined by the Governor-General in Council; and publication of a notice of such revocation in the New Zealand Gazette
shall be sufficient notice thereof to the licensee, and to all
persons concerned or interested in this license, that it has been
revoked and determined.

Board to erect Electric Lines along Hospital Road and Weld
Street, Blenheim.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
November, 1920.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the conditions set
forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made
under section two of the aforesaid Act, and dated the twenty-
second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
twenty-fifth day of the same month, or any regulations here-
after made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor
(and hereinafter collectively referred to as "the regulations"),
and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated
herein—hereby authorize the Wairau Hospital and Charitable
Aid Board (hereinafter referred to as "the licensee") to erect
and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating
purposes along the route described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- ROUTE OF ELECTRIC LINES AUTHORIZED.
All that route situated in the Marlborough Land District
partly in the Omaka Road District and partly in the Borough
of Blenheim, commencing at the power-house at the Wairau
Hospital fronting Hospital Road, and proceeding thence
along the said Hospital Road to Weld Street, thence along
Weld Street to the Maternity Hospital situated at the corner
of the said Weld Street and Litchfield Street, as indicated
by a green line on P.W.D. 49685, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Well-
ton Land District. - SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a)
of clause 3 of the regulations.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 220 volts
between the terminals. - DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in
clause 15 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be
taken as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. - DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance
with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force
for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon
the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination
of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby
granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine;
but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the
licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license. - EXTENSIONS.
Nothing in this license or the regulations incorporated
herein shall be deemed to authorize the erection of electric
lines other than those along the route described herein.

REQUIREMENTS OF OMAKA ROAD BOARD AND BLENHEIM
BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the
licensee shall not be entitled to erect, maintain, or use any
electric lines within the Omaka Road District or the Borough
of Blenheim, except subject to such conditions, not incon-
sistent with the provisions of this license and the regulations
relating thereto, or any variation of this license or the regula-
tions, or new regulations which may take the place of these
regulations, as may from time to time be agreed upon between
the licensee and the Omaka Road Board and the Blenheim
Borough Council. -
VARIATION IN CONDITIONS OF LICENSE.
This license may from time to time, with the consent of
the licensee, be altered or amended by the Governor-General
in Council.

His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit,
for the period of one year from the date of this Order in
Council, all alienation of the Native lands specified in the
Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
