Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of a Gravel-pit in Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of a gravel-pit; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 3 roods 6·7 perches.

Being Crown land, situated in Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District. (S.O. 21266.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49841, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured mottled.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of November, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 9 acres 0 roods 28 perches.

Being a stopped Government road adjoining or passing through Section 1, situated in Block XIV, Rangitoto Survey District (Rangitikei R.D.).

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49494, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1920.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of November, 1920.

Prison proclaimed.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any time later specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, and all buildings and enclosures used or occupied thereon, shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison known as the Point Halswell Prison, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being portion of military reserve (Sections 1, 2, and part 3, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District), bounded towards the north by a line due east from the Evans Bay shore to a point on the watershed sixteen chains south of Point Halswell, towards the east by the said watershed passing through Mount Crawford to the south boundary of the said military reserve, towards the south by the southern boundary of the said military reserve to the Evans Bay shore, and towards the west by Evans Bay.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of November, 1920.
