Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

Resuming Land for Water-conservation Purposes in Awa-o-te-Atua Survey District, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part IV of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is held on small-grazing-run lease from His Majesty the King, issued under Part V of the Land Act, 1892, dated the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for water conservation:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being the land held under small-grazing-run lease as aforesaid.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

PART Section 63c, Run No. 15, Matata Parish, Blocks II and III, Awa-o-te-Atua Survey District, containing by admeasurement 277 acres 0 roods 13 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1920.

Land in Auckland Land District declared to be subject to Section 121 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix two years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 1, Block V, Urutawa Survey District: Area, 1,905 acres. 1st July, 1920.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of November, 1920.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

NGATIHAUPOTO No. 51, being Section 164, Block I, Opunake Survey District: Approximate area, 10 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of November, 1920.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

PUKEPOTO No. 2 Block, Waimanu Survey District: Approximate area, 1,301 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1920.
