(ii.) First assistant, with a salary of £350–£390.
(iii.) Kindergarten mistress, with a salary of £350–£390.
(iv.) One assistant with a salary of £320–£340, two assistants with salaries of £290–£310, and one assistant with a salary of £260–£280.
(v.) Such additional assistants at a salary of £220–£250 as are required to make up the total number of assistants to the number named in column (4) of Schedule II of clause 14 of the Regulations respecting Salaries of Teachers and Staffing of Schools, or to such greater number as the Minister may approve.
(3.) The following additional assistants shall be appointed to such “model schools” as are approved by the Minister, namely:—
(i.) Sole teacher, with salary of £340–£380.
(ii.) Assistant mistress, with salary of £240–£270.
(iii.) In a secondary department with not more than thirty pupils in yearly average attendance, an assistant with a salary of £300–£320; or in a secondary department with more than thirty pupils in yearly average attendance, a first secondary assistant teacher with a salary of £350–£390, and a second assistant teacher with a salary of £260–£280.
(iv.) Assistant teacher, with salary of £260–£280.
(v.) Assistant teacher, with salary of £220–£250.
Provided that where circumstances render it advisable the staffing and salaries for a normal school as prescribed in this clause may with the approval of the Minister be temporarily modified.
(4.) All the members of the staff of the normal school shall be deemed to be also members of the staff of the training college, and shall take such part in the tuition, training, and supervision of the students as the Principal may direct; in general, it shall be the duty, inter alia, of the staff of the training college as thus defined to conduct the various courses of the curriculum as defined in clause 23 hereof.
(5.) Every associated normal teacher shall, in addition to the salary and allowances otherwise receivable by him, receive by way of salary under these regulations such sum not exceeding £50 per annum as the Minister shall approve.
(6.) A married assistant on the staff of a normal school shall be entitled to additional salary of £40 per annum in the same manner as if he were an assistant in a public school other than a normal school.
(7.) (a.) Any teacher, other than the Headmaster, on the staff of a normal school shall receive by way of addition to the salary hereinbefore provided such amount as he would be entitled to receive under clause 2 of the regulations relating to salaries of public-school teachers if he were a teacher on the staff of a public school other than a normal school: Provided that such addition to salary shall be calculated as if the teacher on the staff of a normal school receiving a salary stated in column (1) of the following Schedule were receiving the salary shown in column (2) of that Schedule opposite to his salary in column (1).

(b.) Any teacher, other than the Headmaster, on the staff of a normal school not entitled to an addition to his salary as provided in paragraph (a) of this subclause shall receive by way of addition to the salary otherwise payable under these regulations an amount not exceeding in any case £50 per annum, as may be approved by the Minister.
(9.) A teacher other than the Headmaster on the staff of a normal school receiving any salary stated in subclauses (2) and (3) hereof shall be entitled to an annual increment of £10 until he reaches the maximum salary provided for his position.
(10.) The provisions of clauses 12 and 13 of the regulations relating to salaries of public-school teachers shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to teachers on the staffs of normal schools.”
- Clause 8 is hereby amended by substituting in subclause (2) the figures “£500” for “£350” wherever they occur, and “£300” for “£125.”
