Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1920.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Whakatane County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

as from the thirteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, to be the Kowai Pass Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Tawera County Council Office as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, being Sections 27 and 28, Te Puia Suburbs.
Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Ratahi Lagoon.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 29806, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
