The Native Land Act, 1909.
The Maori Land Board for the District hereby notifies that meetings, under the provisions of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, of the owners of the lands mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto will be held at the places mentioned in the second column on the dates and at times set forth in the third and fourth columns, for the purposes of considering the proposed resolutions set forth in the fifth column of the said Schedule.

Amended Regulations under the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and its Amendments.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of September, 1920.

His Excellency the Administrator presiding in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and its amendments (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act and its amendments”), His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following amendment to the regulations made under the said Act and its amendments on the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen; and doth hereby declare that the amendment to the regulations hereby made shall be read as part of the said principal regulations, and shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
REGULATION.
REGULATION 134 (1) of the principal regulations is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:—
“The term ‘permitted explosives’ shall include a shipment of two hundred cases of explosive known as Stomonal No. 1, landed ex the s.s. ‘Kaiapoi’ at Auckland on the 27th day of August, 1920, and manufactured at the works of the British South African Company (Limited) at Modderfontein, South Africa; provided that the use of such explosive is only permitted subject to the following conditions,—
“(a.) The said explosive shall in all respects be manufactured in strict conformity with the schedules to the British Home Office Order dated the 22nd June, 1914.
“(b.) The greatest weight of explosive which may be used in any one shot-hole shall not exceed 18 oz., and each cartridge shall be marked with words to that effect.”

Approving the Acquisition of Land on behalf of His Majesty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of September, 1920.

His Excellency the Administrator presiding in Council.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-one of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby approve the acquisition on behalf of His Majesty of the land described in the Schedule hereto at the sum specified by the owner of the said land in his notice to the Valuer-General—viz., two thousand pounds.

ALL that land in the Wellington Land District known as Town Acres 1050 and 1067, comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 141, folio 175.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the development of water-power (Mangahao scheme), portion of such land being occupied by buildings.
