Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Gleniti Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1920.

Present:

His Excellency The Administrator Presiding in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the Gleniti Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THOMAS FRANCIS LOVERGROVE CHARTERIS,
WILLIAM HAMILTON FINLAY,
WILLIAM LINCOLN,
HENRY FRANCIS MOFFITT, and
DAVID RAMSAY

to be the Gleniti Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Gleniti Public Library as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

GLENITI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 4 perches, being Reserve 4037 (formerly Lots 36 and 37 on deposited plan 492), and being part of Section 8274, situated in Block X, Arowhenua Survey District.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Kawhia.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1920.

Present:

His Excellency The Administrator Presiding in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Kawhia, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the rolls for the ridings within the County of Kawhia: Until the 30th day of August, 1920.
  2. Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 3rd day of September, 1920, to the 22nd day of September, 1920.
  3. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 13th day of October, 1920.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Waimea, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1920.

Present:

His Excellency The Administrator Presiding in Council.

On the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

WAIPAOA 5A Block: Approximate area, 2,624 acres; Tuahu Survey District.
