any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford
Borough Council Redemption Loan of £21,000, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of (in so far as relates to £17,000 of the
said sum) repaying the debentures issued by the Council
under and by virtue of the powers conferred upon it by
section 6 of the Stratford Borough Empowering Act, 1899,
and (in so far as relates to £3,000 of the said loan) for
repaying the debentures issued by the Council in connection
with the erection of the town hall, and the balance of the
said loan of £21,000 to be applied in and towards payment
of the cost of raising the loan, the said Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one penny and five-eighths of a
penny (1¼d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £500.—OTAIHAPE VALLEY ROAD NO. 2 SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of metalling for the first time the Otaihape
Valley Road between the east boundary of Section 68, Block
XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, and the west boundary
of Awarua 4c 15B Block, and the cost of raising the loan to
be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths
of a penny (1⅝d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Otaihape Valley Road No. 2 Special Rating District, containing Sections 68 and 69, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, and the Awarua 4c 15B Block (169 acres 2 roods 2 perches), in Blocks XIII and XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District; as the said special rating district is more particularly shown upon the map attached to the
ratepayers’ consent to the said loan, and thereon bordered red. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and
a half (36½ years), or until the loan is fully paid off.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £700.—UPPER KAWHATAU BRIDGE SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei
County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of providing a portion of the cost of constructing a suspension traffic-bridge over the Upper Kawhatau River opposite Section 2, Block V, Ruahine Survey District,
and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan,
the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-third of a penny (⅓d.) in the pound
sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property of the Upper Kawhatau Bridge Special Rating District, comprising Sections 1, 1A,
2A, and 5, Block V, and Sections 1 and 2, Block VI, Ruahine
Survey District, also Section part 2, Block V, Ruahine Survey
District, and Section part 7, Block VIII, Hautapu Survey
District, together containing 1,412 acres 3 roods 20 perches,
and occupied by Mr. A. G. M. Fitzherbert; as the said special
rating district is more particularly shown upon the map
attached to the ratepayers’ consent to the said loan, and

thereon bordered red. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six years and a half (36½ years), or until the loan
is fully paid off.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand one hundred pounds (£2,100), authorized to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of electric-supply works extension and reconstruction, the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Sumner, comprising the whole of the Borough of Sumner; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly upon the
first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest
and other charges on a loan of six thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£6,250), authorized to be raised by the Sumner
Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the purpose of providing gas-mains and reticulating-plant
to supply the Redcliffs portion of the borough with gas, the
said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-half pence in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property of the Redcliffs Gas Loan Special Rating Area of the Borough of Sumner, comprising all that area, part of the Borough of Sumner, situate in Block 2, Sumner Survey District, and Block 16, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows,—
Commencing at the easternmost corner of Rural Section No. 158 ; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the easternmost corner of Rural Section No. 10323 ; thence westerly along the southern boundary of that section to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the Rifle Range Reserve ; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that reserve to the south-eastern corner thereof ; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the rifle range to the southern-most corner of the same ; thence southerly along the western boundary of the land in Lot 1 on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch and numbered 4018, to the southern boundary of the Borough of Sumner ; thence generally north-westerly and northerly along the western boundary of the Borough of Sumner to the Estuary of the Avon and Heathcote Rivers ; and from thence returning generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of the Borough of Sumner to the commencing-point. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly upon the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
