subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall be erected at any time on the north-eastern side of Carr’s
Lane and the north-western side of portion of Vincent Avenue
described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-
three feet from the centre-line of the said street and portion
of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE north-eastern side of Carr’s Lane, situated in the North
Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, abutting on Lots
19 and 19A of Allotments 5 and 18 of Section 12, Suburbs of
Auckland.

Also the north-western side of portion of Vincent Avenue,
situated in the said land district and city, abutting on Lot 19A
of Allotments 5 and 18 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland.

As the said street and portion of street are more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48669,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

Validating Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £7,000
proposed to be raised by the Uawa County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
August, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Uawa County Council, acting under and
in pursuance of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of seven
thousand pounds for the purpose of erecting workers’
dwellings :

And whereas the special order authorizing the raising of
the said loan is irregular, in so far that public notification of
the time and place fixed for the confirmation of the said
special order was given four times, but such notification did not
comply with the provisions of section ninety-seven of the
Counties Act, 1908, which provides that notification shall be
given once in each of the four weeks immediately preceding
the day on which the subsequent meeting was held, no notice
appearing within the four weeks immediately preceding the
fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty :

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been
misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate
the same :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him
by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that the proceedings taken to raise the said loan
shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though public
notifications of the special order had been given in the proper
manner, and that the validity of the proceedings in connec-
tion with the said loan shall not be called into question by
reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Changing the Purpose of a Plantation Reserve in the Township
of Kawhia, Auckland Land District.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart for plantation purposes, being
a reserve within Class II of the Second Schedule of the Public
Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and such land is not vested
in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees :

And whereas it is expedient that such land should be
appropriated for an addition to a school-site, being a reserve
within Class III of the aforesaid Act :

Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eleventh
section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, do by
this notification declare that the said land shall, from and
after the second day of September, one thousand nine hun-
dred and twenty, be appropriated for an addition to a school-
site under Class III of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908 ; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be
published in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 1, Block X, Town of Kawhia : Area, 2 acres 1 rood
14 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government, this 25th day of August, 1920.

Setting apart Crown Land under Section 20 of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1912, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of
the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for dis-
posal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—MONGONUI COUNTY.—
CROWN LAND.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 78 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Section 17, Block II, Rangaunu Survey District, and
bounded as follows : Commencing at the southernmost corner
of Section 2, Block III, Karakara Survey District ; towards
the north-west by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 2
and 3, Block III aforesaid, to a public road ; thence towards
the east generally by said public road to the northern boundary
of Section 18, Block II, Rangaunu Survey District ; thence
towards the south-east generally by the north-western
boundary of said Section 18 to a road reserve fronting
Rangaunu Bay ; thence towards the west generally by said
road reserve to the point of commencement.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, this 31st day of August, 1920.

Notifying Land in the Southland Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
fo the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator
of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Monday the thirteenth day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty, as the time at which the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction ; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land
shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RURAL LAND.

Southland County.—Heddon Bush Township.

SECTION 5 : Area, 5 acres ; upset price, £37 10s.

Opening National Endowment Lands in Wellington Land Dis-
trict for Selection by Discharged Soldiers on Renewable
Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert
Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endow-
ment land described in the Schedule hereto, which has been
set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, shall be open
for selection by discharged soldiers on renewable lease on
Saturday, the twenty-third day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty, at the rental mentioned in the said
Schedule ; and I do also declare—

That the said land shall be leased under and subject to the
provisions of the said Act and the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915 ;
