Council of the Borough of Paeroa, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1908.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Pursuant to section 244 of the Municipal Corporations Act,
1908, and any other Act thereunto enabling, I hereby give
notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Paeroa
was taken on the 15th day of July, 1920, on the proposal of
the Paeroa Borough Council to enter into an agreement with
the Ohinemuri County Council for the supply and delivery of
water to the Paeroa Borough Council for the following purposes : Domestic industrial pursuits, feeding and driving
machinery, supplying tanks, reservoirs, railways, and houses
and other works in connection therewith ; such agreement to
be in force for a term of ten years from the 30th day of June,
1920.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 61, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following special order, made by the Waimea County
Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Counties Act, 1908.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the
Counties Act, 1908, the Waimea County Council resolves
by way of special order as follows :
That the present division of the Waimea County into six
ridings be revoked, and that in lieu thereof the said county be
divided into nine ridings, to be called respectively Wangamoia
Riding, Stoke Riding, Appleby Riding, Moutere Riding,
Motueka Riding, Dovedale Riding, Wangapeka Riding,
Motupiko Riding, and Wai-iti Riding, the altered boundaries
of which ridings are set forth in the Schedule hereto.
The said Waimea County Council shall consist of nine
members, who shall be elected as follows : The electors of
each of the said nine ridings shall elect one Councillor.
This special order shall take effect on and after the 18th
day of October, 1920.
SCHEDULE.
Stoke Riding.
All that area of land in the Nelson Land District commencing on the sea-coast at the northernmost corner of
Section 1, Suburban South, and bounded on the north-east
generally by the City of Nelson to the easternmost corner of
Section XI, Suburban South ; thence on the north-east by a
straight line being a production of the north-eastern boundary
of the said Section XI to the boundary between Nelson and
Marlborough Land Districts, on the south-east by the said
land district boundary for a distance of five miles and a half,
more or less ; thence on the south-west by a straight line to
the westernmost corner of Section 59, Square 1, such line
being a prolongation of the south-western boundary of the

said Section 59 ; thence across a public road and along the
western side of such road to the easternmost corner of Section
70, Square 1 ; thence along the north-eastern boundary of
the said Section 70 to the northernmost corner of that section;
thence by a straight line to the easternmost corner of Section
part 93, Waimea East, in the Borough of Richmond ; thence
by the north-eastern boundary of the said borough to the
ocean ; thence generally on the west by the ocean to the
starting-point : and including the outlying islands in Block
III, Waimea Survey District.
Wangamoa Riding.
All that area of land in the Nelson Land District starting
at a point on the sea-coast at Whakitenga Bay in the
Croisilles Harbour at the boundary between the Waimea
and Sounds Counties, and bounded generally on the north
and west by the ocean to the Nelson Lighthouse; thence generally on the south-west and west by the City of Nelson to the
north-eastern boundary of the Stoke Riding; on the south-
west by the Stoke Riding as hereinbefore described; thence
on the south-east generally by the boundary between the
Nelson and Marlborough Land Districts; and towards the
north by Elaine Bay and the Sounds County: including
Pepins Island and all tidal mud-flats within the said area.
Appleby Riding.
All that area of land in the Nelson Land District commencing
at the easternmost corner of the Borough of Richmond,
and bounded on the north-west, north-east, and south-east by
the said borough to the easternmost corner of Section 213,
Waimea East; thence generally on the north by the ocean
to the northernmost corner of Section 26, Waimea West;
thence in a south-westerly direction by the north-western
boundaries of Sections 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 110, Waimea
West, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section;
thence in a westerly direction by a straight line to the north-
eastern corner of Section 69, Moutere Hills; thence by a
straight line to Trig. Station Cut Hill on the north-western
boundary of Section 36, Square 2; thence by the western
boundaries of the said Section 36 and Sections 39, 38, 37, and
186, Square 2, to the southernmost point of the last-mentioned
section; thence by Dron's Road to the southernmost corner
of Section 13, Block VIII, Wai-iti Survey District; thence
in a south-westerly direction across the said road to the
north-western corner of Section 12, Square 2; thence by the
north-western and south-western boundaries of the said
Section 12 to the northern corner of Section 16, Square 2;
thence by the north-western and south-western boundaries
of the said Section 16 to its intersection with the north-
western boundary of Section 162, Waimea West; thence in
a south-westerly direction by the north-western boundaries
of the said Section 162 and of Section 165, Waimea West;
thence by the south-western boundary of Section 165 to the
westernmost corner of Part 1 of Section 161, Waimea West;
thence on the south-east by the middle-line of the Wai-iti
River to its confluence with the Wairoa River; thence
generally on the south-west by the middle-line of the Wairoa
River (including Section 223, Waimea East) to its junction
with the Roding River; thence along the middle-line of the
Roding River to its confluence with the Lee River; thence
along the middle-line of the Lee River to its source near
Bush Cone on the boundary between the Nelson and Marl-
borough Land Districts; thence on the south-east by the
boundary of the said land districts to the southernmost
point of the Stoke Riding; thence on the north-east by the
Stoke Riding as hereinbefore described to the starting-point:
and including Islands Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Waimea East.
Moutere Riding.
All that area of land in the Nelson Land District commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 194, Moutere,
and bounded towards the south-east by the Appleby Riding
as hereinbefore described, to the south-westernmost corner of
Section 37, Square 2; thence on the south by a straight line
to the north-eastern corner of Section 188, Square 2; thence
by the northern boundary of the said Section 188 and the
southern and western boundaries of Section 8, Block VIII,
Wai-iti Survey District; to the southernmost corner of Section
126, Square 2; thence by the south-western boundaries of
the said Section 126 and Section 127, Square 2, to the western-
most corner of the said Section 127; thence by a straight
line to the south-westernmost corner of Section 161, Square
2; thence by a straight line to the southernmost corner of
Section 151, Square 2; thence in a south-westerly direction
by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 113, 112, 111,
Square 2, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned
section; thence in a north-westerly direction by the south-
western boundaries of the said Section 111 and Section 109A,
Square 2, and Section 19, Block XIV, Motueka Survey
District, to the westernmost corner of the said Section 19;
and towards the north-west generally by the western
