the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  1. The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

Portion of Section 32, Ruapekapeka Parish: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 9 perches.

Also portion of Huiarau Block: Area, 5 acres 2 roods 19 perches.

Situated in Block I, Hukerenui Survey District. (Auckland plan 16831, blue.)

Certified Home under the Reformatory Institutions Act, 1909.

WHEREAS by section three of the Reformatory Institutions Act, 1909 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General, on the application of any person or society (whether incorporated or not) desirous of establishing or maintaining a reformatory home, may, by Warrant gazetted, if satisfied as to the fitness of the home and of the person or society proposing to establish or maintain it, certify it as a reformatory home under the said Act:

And whereas the Christchurch Diocesan Mission Council is desirous of establishing and maintaining a reformatory home at Styx, Christchurch, and has made application accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied of the fitness of the home proposed to be established, do hereby certify the building at Styx, Christchurch, as described in the Schedule hereto, to be a reformatory home under the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

St. Anne’s, Styx, Christchurch.

All that building, containing twelve rooms, with appurtenances thereto, situate on part of Rural Section No. 243, Christchurch Survey District, containing 89 acres 2 roods 33 perches, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 258, folio 127.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this 10th day of August, 1920.

Further reviving and confirming the Commission to inquire into the State of that Part of the Clutha River where it runs in the Vicinity of the Borough of Balclutha, thence continuing to the Sea; and also into the State of the Orari, Rangitata, Waimakariri, Ashley, and Maraewhenua Rivers, and such other Rivers as have been or may from time to time be added to such Commission; and further extending the Time for forwarding the Report of the Commission.

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to FREDERICK WILLIAM FURKERT, Esquire, of Wellington, Assistant Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works Department; ASHLEY JOHN HUNTER, Esquire, of Auckland, Civil Engineer; and FRANCIS CHARLES HAY, Esquire, of Gisborne, Civil Engineer: Greeting.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby declare and appoint that the time at or before which the Commission, dated the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, appointing Frederick William Furkert, Esquire, of Wellington, Assistant Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works Department; Ashley John Hunter, Esquire, of Auckland, Civil Engineer; and Francis Charles Hay, Esquire, of Gisborne, Civil Engineer, to inquire into the state of that part of the Clutha River where it runs in the vicinity of the Borough of Balclutha, thence continuing to the sea; and also into the state of the Orari, Rangitata, Waimakariri, Ashley, and Maraewhenua Rivers, and such other rivers as have been or may from time to time be added to such Commission, shall present to me its report, is hereby further extended to the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty:

And, with the like advice and consent, and in further pursuance of the said powers and authorities, I do hereby further revive and confirm the said Commission dated the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

And I do hereby declare that the provisions of the Warrant dated the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, adding certain other rivers to the list of rivers to be inquired into by the aforesaid Commission, and the Warrant dated the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, reviving and confirming the aforesaid Commission and extending the time within which a report was to be presented, and the Warrant dated the seventeenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, further reviving and confirming the aforesaid Commission, and further extending the time within which a report was to be presented, shall apply as fully and effectively in all respects as if the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, was the date for expiration originally fixed in the said Warrants.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of August, 1920.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Cobden Town District, County of Grey.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been pleased to appoint

HENRY PAVITT, of Cobden,

to be the person to prepare the roll of electors and Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of seven members of the Board of Commissioners of the Cobden Town District, constituted under the Town Boards Act, 1908; also to appoint Wednesday, the 1st day of September, 1920, to be the date, and the Public Library, Fox Street, Cobden, to be the place, at which the said first election shall be held; also to appoint Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1920, at 8 o’clock in the evening, to be the time, and the said Public Library, Fox Street, Cobden, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Board of Commissioners so elected shall be held.
