Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of August, 1920.

Present :

His Excellency the Administrator presiding in Council.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulation made on the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of July then instant, by omitting the words “precious stones, set or unset.”

Crown Lands set apart for the Purpose of promoting the Systematic Recovery of Kauri-gum and other Valuable Products contained therein.

His Excellency the Administrator presiding in Council.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1915, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto, and situated within the Hobson County Kauri-gum District, for the purpose of promoting the systematic recovery of kauri-gum and other valuable products contained therein.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Section 16, Block I, Te Kuri Survey District: Area, 521 acres 3 roods 9 perches.

Allotments 114, 115, and 116, Kopuru Parish, and Allotments 78 and 79, Tatarariki Parish: Area, 541 acres 3 roods 15 perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Karitane Domain, and doth hereby appoint

JOHN JAMES ABERNETHY,
WILLIAM BLACK,
HENRY HOWARD GAUDIN,
ALEXANDER CROW MACGEORGE,
CHRISTIAN STEFFANSON,
JAMES WILLIAM TURNER, and
JAMES HAMLIN WALKER

to be the Karitane Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Huirapa Hall, Puketeraki, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—KARITANE DOMAIN.

Sections 24 and 25, Block VI, Hawksbury Survey District: Area, 100 acres.
