A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Brunner Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto, and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Apportionment of Representation on the Teviot Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of August, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby determine, with respect to the Teviot Electric-power District, being an electric-power district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, that the number of representatives of each constituent district on the Board of the said district shall be the number specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of August, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of August, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the Christchurch City Council to borrow the sums of seven thousand five hundred pounds, two thousand two hundred pounds, seven thousand four hundred and thirty pounds, sixteen thousand pounds, and one hundred and fifty thousand pounds respectively; and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans of seven thousand five hundred pounds, two thousand two hundred pounds, seven thousand four hundred and thirty pounds, sixteen thousand pounds, and one hundred and fifty thousand pounds respectively by the Christchurch City Council, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-half pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.
