the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of three-fifths of a penny in the pound sterling
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of
all rateable property of the Koheroa-Kaiawa-Miranda Special
Rating Area of Franklin County, comprising all that area in
the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north by
the Manukau County as described on page 1989 of the New
Zealand Gazette of 1915, from the north-eastern corner of
Section 102, Parish of Otan, to the mouth of the Puwhenua
Stream on Hauraki Gulf; thence towards the east by the
said Hauraki Gulf to the Pukorokoro Creek; thence towards
the south-east by a right line across the mouth of the said
Pukorokoro Creek to the Waikato County boundary at the
north-eastern corner of Section 82, Koheroa Parish; thence
towards the south generally by the Waikato County to the
middle of the Mangatangi Stream; thence by the middle of
that stream to the southern boundary of Section 41; thence
towards the south by Section 42 to the public road at the
north-western corner of the said Section 42; thence across
the said public road and by Sections 193 and 194 to the
south-eastern corner of Section 195; thence towards the west
by Sections 195 and 196 to the south-eastern corner of Sec-
tion 197; thence towards the south by Section 196 to the
public road at its north-western corner; thence towards the
west by a right line across the said road to the south-eastern
•corner of Section 200; thence towards the south and south-
west by Sections 201, 202, and 168 to the north-western
corner of said Section 168; thence towards the east by said
Section 168 to the public road at the southernmost corner of
Section 205; thence towards the south-west, west, and north
by the public road forming part of the boundary of said
Section 205 to the westernmost corner of Section 206; thence
towards the north and west by Section 37 to the north-
western corner of said Section 206; thence towards the north
by Sections 12 and 209 to the north-eastern corner of Sec-
tion 207; thence towards the west by said Section 209 to
the north-western corner of Section 208; thence towards the
north and west by Section 210 to the Surrey Redoubt at the
north-western corner of Section 39; thence towards the west
generally by said Section 210 (all the aforesaid sections being
in the Parish of Koheroa), by Section 109, Otan Parish, by
Section 48A, Otan Parish (State-forest Reserve), by a scenic
reserve, by Section 47, Otan Parish, again by the aforesaid
scenic reserve, and by Sections 108, 61, 59, 58, 57, 55, 103,
and 102 to the point of commencement, being the Manukau
County boundary at the north-eastern corner of said Sec-
tion 102, Otan Parish.
And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING RATE AS SECURITY FOR DUCK CREEK
WATER EXTENSION LOAN, £1,300.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and their respective
amendments, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves
as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the
Dargaville Borough Council for the purpose of extension of
water-mains to Duck Creek, the said Dargaville Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of (½d.) one-
eighth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of
all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
first day of February and the first day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa
County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairoa
County Council Special Loan of £4,000, 1920, authorized to
be raised by the Wairoa County Council for the purpose of
(inter alia)—
(a.) The purchase of two motor-lorries for metal carting;
(b.) The purchase of a motor-tractor and light stone-
crusher;
(c.) Alterations and additions to the Council Chambers;
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-fiftieth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable pro-
perty in the County of Wairoa. And that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF TE AWAMUTU.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £40,000 (forty thousand pounds), autho-
rized to be raised by the Te Awamutu Borough Council,
under the above-mentioned Act, for the provision of a sewer-
age system for the Borough of Te Awamutu, including the
preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, the carry-
ing-out and construction of all necessary works, the purchase
and erection of buildings, engines, machinery, and things, the
purchase of land and rights over land, and the advancement
of money to private owners to provide for the efficient drain-
age of their premises, the said Te Awamutu Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and one-eighth
pence (2½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Borough of Te Awamutu; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day
of August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, and
the Tauranga Borough Council Electric Loans Empowering
Act, 1919, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto
enabling, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as
follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for payment of interest,
sinking fund, and other charges on the Tauranga Borough
Council Electric-lighting Loan of £30,000, 1920, authorized
to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Acts,
for the following purposes,—
(a.) The sum of £3,946 16s. 7d. for the purpose of refunding
to the District Fund Account the sum of £3,946
16s. 7d. expended on electric works and installa-
tions which the Controller and Auditor-General has
certified is capital expenditure authorized to be
raised under the Tauranga Borough Council Electric
Loans Empowering Act, 1919;
(b.) The sum of £6,450 for the purpose of paying off the
amounts borrowed or being borrowed by or on be-
half of the consumers in the Greerton, Otumoetai,
Papanoa, and Te Puke Districts for the extension
to and erection of lines and installations of electric
light and power in those districts;
(c.) The sum of £10,000 for the purpose of extending the
power-house and electric works at the headworks,
Omanawa Falls, and purchasing and providing the
necessary turbines, generators, plant, machinery,
and labour;
(d.) The sum of £3,000 for the purpose of erecting and
purchasing a transmission-line for electric power
from the headworks, Omanawa Falls, to Muir’s Gold
Reefs (Limited), with all necessary plant, machinery,
transformers, appliances, and materials, and provid-
ing the labour therefor;
