IN pursuance of section 307 of the above Act, notice is hereby given that the old company known as “Harrisons Ramsay Proprietary (Limited)” intends to cease to carry on business in New Zealand. No break in the continuity of the company’s business will thereby occur, as a new company under the same name has been formed to acquire the New Zealand company’s business, and the new company has already commenced and will continue to carry on business under the same name and in the same places as the old company.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kiwitea County Council Road Machinery Loan of £5,500, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing road-making machinery, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth (1/40th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Kiwitea; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes,—
(a.) Construction of bridge over Mangatangi Stream, and approaches thereto : £1,000
(b.) Construction of wharf at New Brighton, and approach thereto : £1,000
(c.) Construction of Kaiawa to New Brighton Road : £300
(d.) Construction of bridge over Canoe Creek, Mangatangi to Miranda Road : £250
