District of Helensville was taken on the 15th day of July, 1920, on the proposal of the Town Board to borrow the sum of £5,000 to increase the storage capacity of the water-supply. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 100, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 18.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu taken on Wednesday, the 14th day of July, 1920, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £40,000 for the provision of a sewerage system for the Borough of Te Awamutu, including the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, the carrying-out and construction of all necessary works, the purchase and erection of buildings, engines, machinery, and things, the purchase of land and rights over land, and the advancement of money to private owners to provide for the efficient drainage of their premises, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 103, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 24.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the County of Manawatu taken on the 13th day of July, 1920, on the proposal of the Manawatu County Council to borrow the sum of £30,000 for—
(a.) The extension of the line of the tramway into the bed of the Rangitikei River;
(b.) The laying of new sidings to the line of the tramway, and the relaying of any part or parts of the existing line of tramway;
(c.) The erection and acquisition of buildings, structures, machinery, and plant for the purposes of the tramway, and the making of alterations and additions in and to existing buildings, structures, machinery, and plant;
(d.) The acquisition of any land, or estate or interest in land, for the purposes of the tramway, or any buildings or works connected therewith;
(e.) The acquisition of additional locomotives, wagons, and carriages for the purpose of the tramway;
(f.) The repayment to the Council’s General Account of the sum of £2,902 expended thereon for the purpose of the tramway;
(g.) The acquisition, erection, and equipment of a stone-crusher and elevating plant;
(h.) The acquisition of road-making plant and machinery, and the refunding to the General Account of the sum of £103 expended for such purpose;
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 578, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 98; the number of informal votes was 6.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
