Council of the Borough of New Brighton, is published
in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913.

NEW BRIGHTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of New Brighton taken on the 13th day of July,
1920, on the proposal of the New Brighton Borough Council
to borrow the sum of £52,000 for the purpose of road-
construction, road repairs and improvements, beach improve-
ments, share cost of new bridge, fire-prevention, drainage and
sanitation, river-protection, Council Chambers and yard, &c.,
contingencies, cost of raising loan, &c., the number of votes
for the proposal was 309, and the number of votes against the
proposal was 244.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated this 14th day of July, 1920.
