IN pursuance of the powers delegated to me under paragraph (d) of section 8 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1903, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority conferred by subsection (2) of section 9 of the said Act, do hereby appoint the following Post officers to take declarations of Postmasters and other Post officers :—

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Balclutha, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF BALCLUTHA.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Balclutha was taken on the 16th day of June, 1920, on the proposal of the Balclutha Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of widening and strengthening the river-protection embankment.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 66, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
