All situated in Parish of Hahei, Block III, Whitianga Survey District. (S.O. 20762.)

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48594, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and lessee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Wairoa County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Clyde Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block VI, Mangaorongo Survey District, Waitomo County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VI, Mangaorongo Survey District, Waitomo County:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into between the Waitomo County Council and the owner of the land, described in the Schedule hereto, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:

And whereas the Waitomo County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, as required by the Public Works Act, 1908:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Authorizing the Greytown Borough Council to provide a Soldiers’ Memorial Park as a Permanent War Memorial.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of June, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance Act, 1919, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve as a permanent memorial of the war with Germany the provision by the Greytown Borough Council of a Soldiers’ Memorial Park on the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land purchased by public subscription, and proposed to be vested in the said Greytown Borough Council for the purposes of a Soldiers’ Memorial Park as aforesaid.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Land District of Wellington; in the Borough of Greytown, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 0 roods 16·4 perches, more or less. Bounded, commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Kuratawhiti Street distant 1054·5 links from the intersection of Udy
