Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the ratepayers’ consent to the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the same had been properly witnessed, and that the said special order shall be valid as if public notification thereof had been properly given, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason of the irregularities or defects aforesaid.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of June, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Whangarei Borough Council, acting under and in pursuance of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of ten thousand pounds for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings :

And whereas the special order authorizing the raising of the said loan is irregular, in so far that the term of the loan is stated as thirty years instead of thirty-six and one-half years :

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity or defect, and it is expedient to validate same :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the said special order shall be valid as if the term of the loan had been correctly stated, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Trustees for the Ruapuke Public Cemetery appointed.


LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

RUAPUKE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being part of Allotments 89 and 91, Karioi Parish. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by Allotments 89 and 91, Karioi, Parish aforesaid, 400, 125, and 125 links respectively ; towards the south-west by the said Allotment 91, 400 links ; and towards the north-west by the Raglan-Aotea Road, 250 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/333, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
