rewa, to the northern boundary of the Parish of Papakura;
thence towards the south generally by the said parish bound-
ary to the intersection of a stream with the southern boundary
of Allotment 93, Parish of Manurewa, by the said stream to
its intersection with Redoubt Road, again by the same stream
to the centre of Oram’s Road, by the centre of Oram’s Road
to the north-eastern boundary of the Town District of Manu-
rewa (as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 1916, page
629), by the said town district and the centre of Brown’s
Road to the Puhinui Stream, by the said Puhinui Stream to
the Manukau Harbour, and by the Manukau Harbour afore-
said to the Pukaki Creek: thence towards the west generally
by the said creek and the Mangere Riding (as described in
the New Zealand Gazette of 1912, page 1771) to the Papatoe-
toe Town District (as described in the New Zealand Gazette
of 1919, page 885), by the said town district to the boundary
of the Borough of Otahuhu (as described in the New Zealand
Gazette of 1896, page 1311), and by the said borough and the
Tamaki River to the confluence of the Pakuranga Creek, the
point of commencement.

Pakuranga Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District com-
mencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 56 (E.R.),
Parish of Pakuranga, and bounded towards the north-east
generally by the Tamaki Strait to the Maungamaungaroa
Creek; towards the south-east generally by the aforesaid
Maungamaungaroa Creek to the south-eastern corner of
Allotment 235, Parish of Pakuranga; thence towards the
south generally by the northern boundary of the Papatoetoe
Riding (hereinbefore described) and the Pakuranga Creek to
the Tamaki River; thence towards the north-west generally
by the Tamaki River aforesaid to the point of commencement.

Tauranga Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, com-
mencing at the mouth of the Maungamaungaroa Creek, and
bounded towards the north generally by the Tamaki Strait
to the northernmost corner of the Maraetai Block, situated in
Block II, Wairoa Survey District; thence towards the
south-east generally by the said Maraetai Block and the
Papepape Block to the northern boundary of the Parish of
Wairoa, by the said northern and north-western boundary of
the said parish to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 68,
Parish of Maratai, by that allotment to a road intersection,
by a right line across the said road, by a public road to a
road intersection, by a right line across said road, by a public
road, by Allotment 56, 51, and 27, Parish of Maraetai afore-
said, by Allotment 136, Parish of Pakuranga, by Allotment 64,
Parish of Papakura, and Allotment 96, Parish of Manurewa,
to the eastern boundary of the Papatoetoe Riding (herein-
before described); and towards the west generally by the
said Papatoetoe Riding to the Maungamaungaroa Creek, and
by that creek to the point of commencement.

Papakura Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District com-
mencing at a point where the southern boundary of the
Papatoetoe Riding (hereinbefore described) intersects the
Puhinui Stream, and bounded towards the north-west generally
by the said Papatoetoe Riding to the Town District of Manu-
rewa (as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1916, page 629),
by the said town district to the aforesaid Papatoetoe Riding,
again by that riding and the Turanga Riding (hereinbefore
described) to the south-western corner of Allotment 81,
Parish of Wairoa; thence towards the north by the said
Allotment 81; thence towards the south-east generally by
Allotment 78, Parish of Wairoa, by a public road to the
north-western corner of Allotment 46, Parish of Wairoa, by
a right line, the said public road, to the north-western corner
of Allotment 47, Parish of Wairoa aforesaid, by the last-
named allotment and Allotment 51 of the aforesaid parish
to a public road, by said road to a point which would intersect
the production of the western boundary of Allotment 54,
Parish of Wairoa, by a right line across the aforesaid road,
by the last-mentioned allotment and Allotments 59, 24, 75,
and 73, Parish of Wairoa aforesaid, to a public road, by a
right line across said road, and again by the last-mentioned
allotment, by the abutment of a road, by Allotments 74 and 29

of the aforesaid parish to a public road, by a right line across
said road, and again by the last-mentioned allotment, by
Allotments 40 and 39 to a public road, by said road to a road
intersection, by a right line across said road, and again by
the before-mentioned public road and its abutment, by
Allotments 61 and 50, Parish of Papakura, to a public road
by a right line across said road, by Allotments 55 and 30,
Parish of Papakura aforesaid, to the north-western corner of
last-mentioned allotment, by a right line across a public road,
and by said road to the northern boundary of the Town
District of Papakura (as described in the New Zealand Gazette
of 1919, page 137), by the said town district to the Pahurehure
Estuary; thence towards the south generally by the said
estuary to the Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west
generally by that harbour to the intersection of the southern
boundary of the Papatoetoe Riding (hereinbefore described)
with the Pohinui Stream, the point of commencement.

The above special order was duly passed at a special meeting
of the Manukau County Council held on the 2nd day of March,
1920, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council
held on the 13th day of April, 1920.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the
Borough of Carterton.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 20th May, 1920.

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a
petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less
than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the
Schedule hereto, being part of the Borough of Carterton,
has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General,
praying that the said area may be excluded from the said
borough and included in the County of Wairarapa South.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any
written objections to or petitions against the proposed altera-
tion within one month from the first publication of this notice.
Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded
to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being parts
of Sections 241, 184, 182, and 181 of the Taratahi Plain
Block, bounded towards the north-east by Brooklin Road,
towards the south-east by Lincoln Road, towards the south-
west by Dalefield Road, and towards the north-west by other
parts of Sections 241, 184, 182, and 181, Taratahi Plain Block.

Notice respecting Proposed Town District of Tahunanui, County
of Waimea.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 20th May, 1920.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Town
Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the
Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district under
the said Act, by name the Town District of Tahunanui. All
persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said
town district which they desire to lodge, within one month
from the first publication of this notice, such objections or
petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington.

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED TOWN DISTRICT
OF TAHUNANUI.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line
commencing at the high-water mark of Tasman Bay, at the
