Special Order made by the Raglan County Council altering
Boundaries of Ridings and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Raglan County
Council, is published in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Counties Act, 1908.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order altering the Boundaries of the Pukekawa,
Whangape, and Pukemiro Ridings, and fixing the Repre-
sentation of such Ridings on the Council of the County of
Raglan.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it
by the Counties Act, 1908, and amendments thereto,
and all other Acts and powers whatsoever it in that behalf
enabling, and with the approval of the Chief Surveyor of
the district as provided for by the Counties Amendment
Act, 1915, and subject to the consent of the Governor-General
in Council, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as
follows :-

That the present boundary of the Pukekawa Riding be
altered by the addition to that riding of certain sections
deleted from the Whangape Riding; that the present
boundary of the Whangape Riding be altered, first, by the
deletion of certain sections from such riding and the transfer
of same to the Pukemiro Riding, and, secondly, by the
addition of certain sections to such riding deleted from the
Pukemiro Riding; and that the present boundary of the
Pukemiro Riding be altered, first, by the addition of certain
sections deleted from the Whangape Riding, and, secondly,
by the transfer of certain sections from the Pukemiro Riding
to the said Whangape Riding; such alterations to take
effect from the 4th day of October, 1920, with the repre-
sentation of one Councillor each for the above-mentioned
Pukekawa, Whangape, and Pukemiro Ridings on the Council
of the County of Raglan.

The boundaries of the aforementioned ridings shall be as
follows, from the 4th day of October, 1920:-

Pukekawa Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, Raglan County,
commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 60,
Onewhero Parish. Bounded towards the east generally by
the left bank of the Waikato River to its confluence with the
Opuatia Stream; thence towards the south generally by
the aforesaid Opuatia Stream; thence towards the west
generally by part of Opuatia No. 4 Block, Section 22, Opuatia
Special Settlement, Opuatia No. 8B Block, across a public
road, again by the last said block, across a public road, and
again by the aforesaid block, by Allotment 157, Onewhero
Parish, across a public road, by Allotments 156, 150, 149,
Parish of Onewhero, across a public road, and by Allotments
166, 96, and 95 of the aforesaid parish and the eastern
boundary-line of the last-mentioned allotment produced to
the Waikato River; thence towards the north generally by
the left bank of the Waikato River aforesaid to the place of
commencement.

Whangape Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, Raglan
County, commencing at the confluence of the Waikato River
and Opuatia Stream; thence towards the north-east and
east generally by the left bank of the Waikato River
to the north-east corner of Whangape Lot 17B; thence
towards the south generally by Whangape Lot 17B afore-
said and that boundary produced across a public road,
and by that road, by Whangape Lot 17D, Whangape
Lot 17C, Allotments 68 and 80, Parish of Whangape, to
the Roto-ngaro Lake, thence by the said lake to a point
the production of the southern boundary of Section 10,
Block VI, Rangiriri Survey District, and by that line to and
across a road to the south-east corner of said Section 10;
then bounded by Section 5, Block VII, Rangiriri Survey
District aforesaid, by Section 11 of Block VI, Rangiriri Survey
District aforesaid, and that boundary produced across a
road, and by that road to the north-east corner of Section 9
of Block VI aforesaid, by Section 9 aforesaid, and Section 7
of aforesaid Block VI, Allotment 22, to the Whangape Lake;
thence by the southern and western banks of the said lake
to the Awaroa Stream; thence by the said Awaroa Stream
to the north-west corner of Allotment 47, Parish of Whangape;
thence towards the east generally by said Allotment 47,
Allotments 58A, 58B 1, 59B 2, 59B 1, 59A, Parish of Whangape,
to the Pukemiro Riding boundary as described in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 81, 22nd October, 1908, page 2678;
thence along the western boundary of the Pukemiro Riding
aforesaid to the north boundary of the Waingaro Riding, as
described in the New Zealand Gazette aforesaid; thence
towards the south generally by the Waingaro Riding aforesaid
to the south-west corner of Allotment 216, Parish of Pepepe;
thence towards the west by the Te Akau Riding as described
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 61, 31st July, 1902, page 1613,
and Port Waikato Riding as described in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 91, 31st May, 1917, page 2185; and towards the
north generally by the Onewhero Riding as described in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 91, 31st May, 1917, page 2186, and
the Pukekawa Riding above described, to the place of com-
mencement.

Pukemiro Riding.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, Raglan County,
commencing at the north-east corner of Whangape Lot 17B.
Bounded towards the east generally by the left bank of the
Waikato River to the northernmost corner of Section 2,
Block IV, Newcastle Survey District; towards the south
generally by the Waingaro Riding as described in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 61, 31st July, 1902, page 1614, and
No. 81, 22nd October, 1908, page 2678; towards the west
generally and towards the north generally to the Whangape
Riding above described to the point of commencement.

The above resolution was duly passed as a special order
at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held at
Ngaruawahia on the 10th day of March, 1920, and confirmed
at a special meeting of the said Council held at Raglan on
the 12th day of May, 1920.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been affixed
this 12th day of May, 1920, in the presence of-

Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Counties Act, 1908.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order altering Boundaries of Papatoetoe, Pakuranga,
Turanga, and Papakura Ridings, and fixing Representation
of such Ridings on the Council of the County of Manukau.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by
the Counties Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, and all
other Acts and powers whatsoever it in this behalf enabling,
and with the approval of the Chief Surveyor of the district
as provided by the Counties Amendment Act, 1915, the
Manukau County Council hereby resolves by way of special
order as follows :-

That the present boundaries of the Pakuranga, Turanga,
Papatoetoe, and Papakura Ridings be altered by (a) the
inclusion in Pakuranga Riding of a portion of Turanga
Riding, and (b) the inclusion in Papatoetoe Riding of portions
of Turanga and Papakura Ridings, such alterations to take
effect from the 18th day of October, 1920, with the represen-
tation of one Councillor to each such riding. The boundaries
of the said ridings shall be as follows from the said 18th day
of October, 1920, β€”

Papatoetoe Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District com-
mencing at the confluence of the Pakuranga Creek with the
Tamaki River, and bounded towards the north generally by
the Pakuranga Creek aforesaid to and by the southern bound-
ary of Allotment 94, Parish of Pakuranga, by a right line the
production of the said southern boundary of Allotment 94
aforesaid to the centre of a public road, by the said centre of
the aforesaid road to a point which would intersect the pro-
duction of the southern boundary of Allotment 116, Parish
of Pakuranga, by a right line to the said southern boundary
of Allotment 116 aforesaid, by the said allotment to and
across a public road to the southern boundary of Allot-
ment 235, Parish of Pakuranga, and by Allotment 235 afore-
said to the Maungamaungaroa Creek; thence towards the
east generally by the aforesaid Maungamaungaroa Creek to
and across a road forming the southern boundary of Allot-
ment 267, Parish of Pakuranga, by that road and its abut-
