Station 32; thence westerly along a right line to the junction of the Panemango and the Tomakomako Streams; thence up the middle of the Panemango Stream to and along the southern boundary of Ruanui No. 2 Block; thence along the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Maungakaretu Survey District, to the middle of the Turakina River; thence along a right line to the Maungakaretu Trig. Station on the summit of the eastern watershed of the Wangaehu River; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by lines from hill to hill along a summit of that watershed to and along a right line which runs in a north-westerly direction through trig. station on Okaiepe (Block XIV, Mangawhero Survey District) to a point in the middle of the Wangaehu River due west about eighteen chains from the western boundary of Block XIV, Mangawhero Survey District; thence down the middle of the said river to the sea; thence in a north-westerly direction along the sea-coast to the point of commencement.

Declaring Road-line through Land in Orongo Settlement Auckland Land District, to be closed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said road shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ORONGO SETTLEMENT.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road required to be closed: 5 acres 3 roods 17·6 perches.

Passing through Orongo Block, situated in Block XI, Thames Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/196, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 2 perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, and being Lot 85E of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot 85D of the said Section 10, 756 links; towards the south-east by School Road, 202 links; towards the south by the Mount Albert Road, 729 links; and towards the west by Three Kings Road, 359 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/6/231, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (North Auckland plan No. 1589.) For a site for a public school.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 5 acres 0 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Section 8, Block XI, Rangiriri Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 7, Block XI, Rangiriri Survey District, 1665·5 links; towards the south-east generally by a public road, 432·9, 164·9, and 407·5 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 494·9, 578·3, and 227 links; and towards the west by Section 6, Block XI aforesaid, 271·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/234, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For a site for a public school.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 0 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section 29, Block I, Motuotaria Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 734·6 links; towards the east by a public road, 1055·9 links; towards the
