HAWKE’S BAY FRUIT CANNING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Hastings on the twelfth day of November, 1919, the following special resolutions were duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Hastings on the twenty-seventh day of November, 1919, the following resolutions were duly confirmed, viz. :—

That the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily; and that HUBERT ERNEST ROBERTS, Secretary, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

That all deeds, acts, matters, and things made, executed, or done by Hubert Ernest Roberts, acting or purporting to act as Liquidator of the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited) under and by virtue of a special resolution passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the said company on the 24th day of February, 1919, and adjourned to the 25th day of March, 1919, and confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the said company held on the 15th day of April, 1919, whereby it was resolved that, for the purpose of effecting amalgamation with Evaporators (of N.Z.) (Limited), the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited) be wound up and go into voluntary liquidation, and that Mr. H. E. Roberts is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company in accordance with the terms of this resolution, and particularly the agreement made between the said Hubert Ernest Roberts as Liquidator of the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited), of the one part, and Evaporators (of N.Z.) (Limited), of the other part, whereby the said Hubert Ernest Roberts as such Liquidator sold or purported to sell to Evaporators (of N.Z.) (Limited) the land and premises and the balance of the assets (other than unpaid share capital and debts) of the Hawke’s Bay Fruit Canning Company (Limited), be and they are hereby ratified, confirmed, and validated.

MILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
———
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Milton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £34,423, authorized to be raised by the Milton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, of which sum £16,523 is required for the construction of waterworks for the supply of pure water for the borough, and £17,900 for the construction of works for the efficient drainage of the said borough, the said Milton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three shillings and sixpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Milton, comprising the whole of the said Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
