corner; thence along the eastern boundary of Pakararahi No. 2B Block; thence along the watershed south through Block XIII, south-east through the corner of Block I and Timber Lease (2,622 acres); thence in an easterly direction generally to the head of the Huia Stream; thence in a southerly direction to the head of Waipaheke Stream, the right bank of the said Waipaheke Stream, the right bank of the Hikutaia Stream, to its junction with the Waihou River; thence by the right bank of the Waihou River and the foreshore of the Firth of Thames to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years (36½), or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £25,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the erection of new bridges, purchase of roadmaking machinery, plant, and equipment, acquisition of land and erection of roadmen’s cottages, the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-four one-hundred-and-twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said county being described in the First Schedule to the Waipawa County Act, 1907); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on days to be arranged in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GUARDIAN, TRUST, AND EXECUTORS COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND (LIMITED).

I, PERCY HENRY UPTON, Manager of the Guardian, Trust, and Executors Company of New Zealand (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare:—

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £100,000, divided into 20,000 shares of £5 each.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 20,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of three pounds (£3) per share on 2,500 shares and three shillings (3s.) per share on 17,500 shares have been made, under which the sum of £10,125 has been received.
  5. That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates on the 1st day of January last is £303,994 4s. 3d.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates on that day is £288,816 7s. 11d.
  7. That the amount of the balances due to estates under administration on that day is £15,177 16s. 4d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company as on the 1st day of January last were £223 6s. 9d.
  9. That the contingent liabilities of the company on deposits on the 1st day of January last were nil.
  10. That the assets of the company on that day were £13,674 3s. 6d.
  11. That the first annual license was issued on the 10th day of March, 1911.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

In the matter of PILKINGTONS MOTORS (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at Christchurch on the twenty-first day of April, 1920, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

That the business of the company having been sold, the main object for which the company was incorporated has ceased, and the company be wound up voluntarily; and that GOWER PILKINGTON, of Akaroa, Managing Director, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

THE MANAWARU CO-OPERATIVE CHEESE AND BUTTER COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

COPY of special resolutions passed at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders held on the 26th September, 1919, and confirmed at a further extraordinary meeting of shareholders held on the 22nd October, 1919:—

“1. That it is expedient to effect an amalgamation of this company with the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited), and with a view thereto this company be wound up voluntarily; and that Messrs. ERNEST V. QUICK, of Hamilton, and A. J. GRAHAM, of Hamilton, be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.

“2. That the conditional agreement between the Manawaru Co-operative Cheese and Butter Company (Limited) and this company for amalgamation submitted at this meeting be and the same is hereby approved, and that the Liquidators be and they are hereby authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to adopt the said agreement and carry same into effect, with such (if any) modification as the said Liquidators may think expedient.”

GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Gore Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Gore Borough Reconstruction and Extension of Electric Light and Power Works Loan, 1920, of £12,000, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the reconstruction and extension of electric light and power works of the Borough of Gore, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-fifths (4/5ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Gore; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
