by the Woolston Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing and installing the plant necessary to undertake the efficient collection, removal, and disposal of nightsoil, and other works in connection therewith, the Woolston Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth (1/5th) of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Woolston; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is paid off.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

SALISBURY AND CROSS ROADS £400 DRAINAGE LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for draining Sections 1, 2, 45, and part of 4, Block XIV, Huiroa Survey District, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Salisbury and Cross Roads £400 Drainage Loan Special Rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 45, and half of Section 4, Block XIV, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

1920 LOAN, £340,000.—SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, and in exercise of all other powers it hereunto enabling, the Christchurch Tramway Board doth by special order hereby resolve as follows, that is to say:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund on a loan of £340,000, duly authorized under the above-mentioned Acts and by a poll of the ratepayers of the Christchurch Tramway District taken on the eleventh day of February, 1920, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and seventy-five thousandth parts of a penny in the pound (275/1000d. in the £1) upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Tramway District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-four and a half years from the first day of April, 1920, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above special order was made at a special meeting of the Board called for that purpose on the 15th day of March, 1920, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting held this 19th day of April, 1920.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

UPPER TAUHERENIKAU BRIDGE LOAN, £2,500.—RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect to interest and principal and also other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Featherston County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, being the second portion of the contribution of £4,500 required to enable the Featherston County Council to comply with the Governor-General’s Warrant dated the 6th day of June, 1919, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th June, 1919, No. 71, for the construction of the Upper Tauherenikau Bridge and approaches thereto, situated between Featherston and Greytown, the said Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventieth (1/70th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all rateable properties situated within the County of Featherston; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
