PRINCE RUPERT HARBOUR, SOUTHERN APPROACH.—EAST KINAHAN ISLAND.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.
Position.—On the northern side of East Kanahan Island. Lat. 54° 12′ 46″ N., long. 130° 23′ 50″ W., on Chart No. 3283.
Abridged Description.—(U) lt. occ., 30 ft., vis. 7 m.
Characteristics :
Character.—An occulting white light.
Elevation.—30 ft.
Visibility.—7 miles.
Structure.—White pyramidal frame on cylindrical tank.
Remarks.—The light is unwatched.

CHATHAM SOUND.—GENN ISLANDS.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.
Position.—Near the western extreme of the large island of the Genn Group. Lat. 54° 5′ 47″ N., long. 130° 17′ 33″ W.
Abridged Description.—(U) lt. occ., 30 ft., vis. 7 m.
Characteristics :
Character.—An occulting white light.
Elevation.—30 ft.
Visibility.—7 miles.
Structure.—A white pyramidal steel framework on a cylindrical tank.
Note.—The light is unwatched.

NORTH PACIFIC OCEAN.
SANDWICH ISLANDS, KAUAL.—WAIMEA.—EXTENSION OF REEF.
Position.—At a distance of 2½ miles, 278° (S. 87° W. mag.), from the occulting white and red light on the western side of Hanapepe Bay. Lat. 21° 53½′ N., long. 159° 38¾′ W.
Details.—The coastal reef between Waimea and the southern end of the western point of Hanapepe Bay extends further seaward than charted, the outer end of the reef being situated in the position given above.
Note.—The limits of the reef are to be indicated on the chart by a danger line, and the symbol for a rock with a depth of less than 6 ft. is to be inserted in the above-mentioned position.
Variation.—11° E.

SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN.
VICTORIA ISLAND.—NON-EXISTENCE OF.
Position on Chart.—Lat. 6° 45′ 00″ S., long. 160° 42′ 00″ W.
Details.—Information has been received that the island shown on the charts in the above position does not exist, and it is to be expunged from the charts accordingly.

PHILIPPINE ISLANDS.
SULU (MINDORO) SEA.—PANAY GULF APPROACH.—OBSTRUCTION REPORTED.
Position (approximate).—At a distance of about 22½ miles north-eastward from Manukan Island Lighthouse. Lat. 9° 51′ 00″ N., long. 121° 40′ 00″ E.
Description.—An obstruction resembling a sandbank, about 2½ cables in length, with numerous bamboo poles projecting about 6 ft. above water, was observed in the above position.
Note.—The above position is to be encircled by a danger line on the charts, and marked with the note “Reported (1919).”

AUSTRALIA.
EAST COAST.—PALM ISLES.—FALCON ISLAND.—SHOAL NORTH-WESTWARD OF.
Position.—In the northern entrance to the channel between Falcon Island and Esk Island, and at a distance of 5 cables, 304° (N. 62° W. mag.), from the northern extreme of Falcon Island. Lat. 18° 45½′ S., long. 146° 31¾′ E.
Depth.—1½ fathoms (coral).
Variation.—6° E.

KIAMA LIGHT.—INTENDED ALTERATION IN CHARACTERISTICS.
Mariners and others are hereby notified that the fixed green light at Kiama will be replaced by a group flashing white light (U) on about 15th July, 1920.
Position.—On hill above Blow-hole Rock. Lat. 34° 40′ S., long. 150° 53′ E., on Chart No. 1020.
Details.—The fixed green light will be replaced by a new light having the undermentioned characteristics :—
Character.—Group flashing white light showing two flashes in quick succession every six seconds, thus—flash ⅓ sec., eclipse 1 sec. ; flash ⅓ sec., eclipse 4⅓ secs.
Visibility.—15 miles.
Power.—1,500 candles.
Remarks.—The light will be unwatched. The other details of the light will remain unchanged.
Note.—No further notice will be given.

JAVA.
NORTH COAST.—BATAVIA ROADS.
(1.) Jong (Junk Reef).—Buoy established.—Buoy withdrawn.
Position.—On the northern edge of the reef at a distance of about 1½ cables north-westward from the position formerly occupied by the black can buoy with cone topmark, which has been withdrawn. Lat. 5° 51′ S., long. 106° 39′ 10″ E.
Description.—A white conical buoy with ball topmark.

(2.) Hordyk (Blommenthal) Rock.—Buoy withdrawn.
Position.—Lat. 5° 57′ S., long. 106° 36¼′ E.
Details.—The black can buoy with cone topmark, formerly marking the south-eastern edge of the rock, has been withdrawn.

SURABAYA STRAIT APPROACH.—SOLO RIVER ENTRANCE.—ALTERATION IN LIGHT ON LIGHT-BUOY.
Former Notice.—No. 217 of 1920.
Position.—Lat. 6° 50½′ S., long. 112° 33¼′ E.
Alteration.—The light on the white conical light-buoy in the above position has been altered from occulting white to occulting red every six seconds, thus—light 3 secs., eclipse 3 secs.

INDERAMAYU WEST ROAD.—LIGHT-BUOY TO BE REPLACED BY BUOY.
Date of Alteration.—Very shortly.
Position.—On the eastern side of Inderamayu West Road. Lat. 6° 14¼′ S., long. 108° 13¾′ E.
Details.—The red and black horizontally striped light-buoy with occulting white light will be replaced by a black conical buoy with ball topmark.
Note.—No further notice will be given.

INDIA.
WEST COAST.—BOMBAY HARBOUR APPROACH.—ALTERATION IN POSITION OF LIGHT-VESSEL.
Former Notice.—No. 1150 of 1919.
New Position.—At a distance of about 7 cables north-eastward from former position, and about 4½ miles south-westward of Prongs Lighthouse. Lat. 18° 50′ N., long. 72° 44′ 30″ E., on Chart No. 2621.
Description.—A light-vessel exhibiting an occulting white light, as described in the Admiralty List of Lights.
Note.—This light-vessel is now to be inserted on Chart No. 2621.

SOUTH AFRICA.
FALSE BAY.—KALK BAY HARBOUR.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.
Position.—On outer end of new breakwater, and at a distance of 3 miles and 2 cables, 352° (N. 18° E. mag.), from Roman Rocks Lighthouse. Lat. 34° 7¾′ S., long. 18° 27¼′ E.
Abridged Description.—Lt. fl., W.R., ev. 15 secs., 25 ft., vis. 7 m. (U).
Details :
Character.—A flashing light, with white and red sectors, every fifteen seconds, thus—flash 2½ secs., eclipse 12½ secs.
Elevation.—25 ft.
Visibility.—7 miles.
Sectors.—White from 146° (S. 8° E. mag.) through south to 352° (N. 18° E. mag.) ; red elsewhere.
Structure.—A tower 15 ft. in height.
Remarks.—The light is unwatched.
Note.—The new breakwater on the outer extremity of which the light is situated extends from the light in a 240° (S. 86° W. mag.) direction to the shore.
Variation.—26° W.

RED SEA.
EASTERN SHORE.—LITH TO KAMARAN.—INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO BEACONS AND BUOYS.
(1.) Beacons disappeared.
Details.—The undermentioned beacons have disappeared, and are to be expunged from the charts :—
(a.) Katat el Gursh—
Position : Lat. 20° 7½′ N., long. 40° 5¼′ E.
Description : Triangle.
(b.) Abulat Island—
Position : Lat. 19° 57′ N., long. 40° 8′ E.
Description : Triangle.
(c.) Unnamed reef 4 miles westward from Ras Abu Kalb—
Position : Lat. 18° 40½′ N., long. 41° 7½′ E.
(d.) Northern end of Umm Kerkan Shoal—
Position : Lat. 18° 25′ N., long. 41° 23′ E.

(2.) Buoys disappeared.
Details.—The undermentioned buoys have disappeared, and are to be expunged from the charts :—
(a.) Off Ras Abu Matna—
Position : Lat. 18° 51½′ N., long. 41° 8½′ E.
Description : White conical, with ball topmark.
