CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in the Auckland Land District forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey, Auckland, 27th February, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Pastoral Runs classified in Southland Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed to classify and report upon lands in the Southland Land District have classified the pastoral runs in the Schedule hereto as therein noted, and the classification has been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General under section 225 of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Class A.—Pastoral Lands.
Being Lands suitable exclusively for Pasturage and not capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.
RUN 423A, Nokomai, Rockyside, and Garvie Districts: Area, 6,070 acres; Crown land.
Run 423B, Nokomai, Rockyside, Gap, Garvie, and Waikaia Districts: Area, 10,000 acres.
Run 207, Hokonui District: Area, 2,773 acres; Crown land.
Run 149, Taringatura District: Area, 8,575 acres; Bluff Harbour endowment.
Run 415B, Takitimo District: Area, 5,040 acres; Crown land.
Run 251, Tuturau, Slopedown, Mokoreta, and Wyndham Districts: Area, 18,250 acres; Crown land.
Run 420, Campbelltown Hundred: Area, 5,640 acres.

Land in the Southland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 1st March, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 17th May, 1920.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Wednesday, 19th May, 1920, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Southland County.—Oteramika Hundred.—Stalker Settlement.
Sections 3s and 4s, Block XI: Area, 35 acres 3 roods 32 perches; capital value, £1,010; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £50 10s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £22 14s. 6d.
Sections 6s and 7s, Block XI: Area, 35 acres 2 roods 22 perches; capital value, £1,005; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £50 5s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £22 12s. 3d.
Stalker Settlement is situated about seventeen miles by good metalled road from Invercargill, and not more than five miles from Edendale Railway-station, and within one mile and a half of the Seaward Downs Dairy Factory, school, post-office, store, &c. All in grass; good agricultural and dairying land, equal to that of the well-known and successful Edendale Settlement which it adjoins; water may be obtained by sinking; practically level land.
IMPROVEMENTS.
The improvements which go with the sections are for boundary fencing valued as follows: Sections 3s and 4s, 48 chains, £24 10s.; Sections 6s and 7s, 30 chains, £20.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 27th April, 1920.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 29th April, 1920, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
MOERANGI BLOCK.
Kawhia County.—Karioi Survey District.
Section 7, Block XI: Area, 596 acres; capital value, £1,780; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £89; half-yearly rent on lease, £40 1s.
Section 8, Block XI: Area, 490 acres; capital value, £1,560; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £78; half-yearly rent on lease, £35 2s.
Altitude, 800 ft. to 1,450 ft. above sea-level. Hilly to broken country, covered with heavy mixed forest comprising rimu, rata, tawa, kohekohe, tawhero, &c., with thick undergrowth of supplejack and shrubs. Soil sandy loam, on sandstone formation; well watered by streams. Distant twenty-one miles from Raglan and twenty miles from Frankton Junction, by formed road in each case.
