AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Awakino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750), authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, widening, culverting, and metalling the eastern end of the Papakauri Road, a distance of two miles and a half, the said Awakino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Papakauri Special Rating Area, comprising the following sections: Mahoenui D No. 2; north-west portion of Mahoenui D No. 3, containing 487 acres; Mahoenui E No. 2; Mahoenui E No. 3A; Mahoenui E 3B No. 1; Mahoenui E 3B No. 2; Sections 1 and 2, Block X, Awakino East Survey District.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—COUNTY EMPLOYEES’ ACCOMMODATION LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and in terms of the Housing Act, 1919, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds) sterling, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the cost of purchasing land and erecting county employees’ homes thereon in the County of Kiwitea, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20th of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Kiwitea; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year shall be paid out of the loan.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

UNDER the authority of and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and authorized to be made and levied by a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Waimarino taken on the 19th day of August, 1918, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves to make and levy a bridge rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling upon the capital value of all rateable property as appearing upon the valuation rolls for the time being in force for the several ridings constituting the County of Waimarino, for the purpose of the reconstruction and renewal of any bridge or bridges exceeding thirty feet in span which it may from time to time, by reason of any accident or flood, fire, or other mischance, or on account of disrepair, become necessary to reconstruct or renew.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and section 19 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1919, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waitomo County Council, Te Kuiti - Piopio Special Rating Area No. 1 Loan of £500, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of refunding the Te Kuiti Riding, Paemako Riding, and Aria Riding accounts of the said county the amount advanced for reculverting, reforming, and remetalling portions of the Te Kuiti – Awakino Road between the Te Kuiti Township boundary and Piopio, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Te Kuiti - Piopio Special Rating Area No. 1, bounded as follows,—

Commencing at the south-west corner of Pukenui 2D Section, the boundary of Te Kuiti Borough, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction along the western boundaries of Pukenui 2D 7A, Pukenui 2D 7B, Pukenui 2Y, Pukenui 2W, Pukenui 2E, to a point on the north-east boundary of Pukenui 1B; thence in a straight line to the north-west corner of Maraetaua B.B. Block No. 7506, cutting Pukenui No. 1B in half; thence along the western boundary of the said block to the north-east corner of Maraetaua No. 9C; thence the northern and western boundary of the said section, the northern and western boundaries of Section 10, Block VI, Otanake, the northern boundaries of the following sections: Section 8, Block VI, Otanake S.D.; Sections 2 and 1, Block X, Otanake S.D., to the north-west corner of Section 1, Block X, Otanake; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 1, Section 5, the northern and western boundary of Section 6, the western boundary of Sections 6, 7, 8, all of Block X, Otanake, to the north-west corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections Kaingapipi No. 5, Kaingapipi No. 7, No. 10, No. 6, No. 9, and No. 11 to its north-west corner; then along the western boundary of Kaingapipi Section 11 and part of the north boundary of Kaingapipi No. 2 to the Mairoa Road; thence along the Mairoa Road in a southerly direction and the Wairere Road to the north-eastern boundary of Kinohaku East 4B, Section 1; thence along the northern boundary of the said section in an easterly direction to the Mokau River; thence along the Mokau River in a north-easterly direction to the south-west corner of Pukenui 2L, taking in piece of Karu-o-te-whenua 1C No. 3 and part of Maraetaua Block B.B., across the river, along its southern bank; thence from the south-west corner of Pukenui 2L 1 in a north-easterly direction following the eastern boundary of the Maraetaua Block to the south-west corner of Pukenui 2P 1; thence along the southern boundaries of the following Section Pukenui 2P 1, 2P 3, Pukenui 2W, on the southern side of the road to its south-east corner; thence along its eastern boundary to a point running in a straight line to the south-west corner of Pukenui No. 2G, cutting Section Pukenui 2H in half; thence along the western boundary of Pukenui 2G to the north-west corner of the said section; thence in a straight line to the Te Kuiti Township boundary, cutting Pukenui 2N in half; then along the Te Kuiti Township boundary in a north-westerly direction to the starting-point.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
