Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Jas. Robertson, the Chairman of the Club and the Meeting, moved, and Mr. A. Vilne seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations shou'd be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
CLIFDEN RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Clifden Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse situated in the district of Clifden, and known as the Clifden Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
(d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
The foregoing regulations of the Clifden Racing Club were made and passed by the Clifden Racing Club on the 22nd day of August, 1919, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

NEW ZEALAND BRUSHWARE COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of the New Zealand Brushware Company (Limited) on the 5th day of March, 1920, at 8 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

Edin., now residing in Wanganui, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 1st March next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the main roads in the Katikati Riding of the County of Tauranga, and for quarrying, breaking, carting, carrying, and spreading the metal, and preparing the road therefor, the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Katikati Riding, comprising the whole of the Katikati Riding in the said county; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the main roads in the Te Puna Riding of the County of Tauranga, and for quarrying, breaking, carting, carrying, and spreading the metal, and preparing the road therefor, the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Te Puna Riding, comprising the whole of the Te Puna Riding in the said county: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
