SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Sections 5 and 6, Block I, Pakaumanu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 7, Block I, Pakaumanu Survey District, 690·4 links; towards the north-east by a public road, 211·9 and 300 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 321·5 and 486 links; and towards the west by Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68A No. 1 Block, 126·7 links, and Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 69B Block, 653·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/232, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan 15624, blue.) For a site for a public school.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Town of Motu Extension No. 1. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 11 of said Motu Extension No. 1, 438·72 links; towards the south-east by Section 13 of said Motu Extension No. 1, 315·99 links; towards the south-west by Opotiki Road, 330·55 links; and towards the north-west by Whinray Road, 129·65 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/25, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For a site for a Courthouse.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being Section 22, Block I, Aria Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Paraheka Road, 1016·4 links; towards the east by Section 14 of the above block and survey district, 1256·8 links; towards the south by Section 19 of the above block and survey district, 896·3 links; and towards the west by Umukaimata 5B Section 2, 530·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1911/1844, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. For an addition to a site for a public school.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 22 acres 0 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 1 of Block I, Gorge Survey District, part of the old bed of the Pohangina River. Bounded towards the south-east generally by railway land, being Section No. 1 of Subdivision X, Manchester Block, in Block II, Gorge Survey District, by a line crossing the river-bed running due south to the northern boundary of Section 463c, Palmerston Township Registration District, in Block III, Gorge Survey District, a recreation reserve, and by Section 463c aforesaid; towards the west generally by other part of the old bed of the Pohangina River, on a line bearing 50° 59′ 58″, being the production in a north-easterly direction of the north-western boundary of Section No. 463B, Palmerston Township aforesaid, to the centre-line of the old river-bed; thence along that centre-line to a point where it is cut by a line bearing 315° 45′, being the production in a south-easterly direction of the north-eastern boundary of Sections 614 and 615 on D.P. 187, thence by that line to the southern boundary-line of Section 464, Palmerston Township Registration District, in Block I, Gorge Survey District, being railway land; and towards the north generally by said Section 464 and by the railway-bridge crossing the old river-bed. As the same is delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 1/41, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For public-recreation purposes.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 17 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being Section 20R, Block III, Wairio Survey District, and bounded on the south-west by a public road at a bearing of 139° 21′ for a distance of 274·6 links; thence at a bearing of 6° 6′ for a distance of 1826·7 links, thence at a bearing of 277° 44′ for a distance of 398 links, thence at a bearing of 357° 49′ for a distance of 866·9 links, thence at a bearing of 0° 2′ 30″ for a distance of 925·1 links, thence at a bearing of 300° 17′ for a distance of 571·2 links, thence at a bearing of 333° for a distance of 946·5 links, thence at a bearing of 317° 33′ for a distance of 1215·8 links, thence at a bearing of 321° 46′ for a distance of 845·7 links; thence on the north by the Ohai River, thence at a bearing of 141° 46′ for a distance of 865·7 links, thence at a bearing of 137° 33′ for a distance of 1205·7 links, thence at a bearing of 153° for a distance of 962 links, thence at a bearing of 120° 17′ for a distance of 543 links, thence at a bearing of 180° 2′ 30″ for a distance of 869·5 links, thence at a bearing of 177° 49′ for a distance of 851 links, thence at a bearing of 277° 44′ for a distance of 1821·8 links, thence at a bearing of 313° 47′ for a distance of 1822·6 links, thence at a bearing of 231° 19′ for a distance of 467·8 links, thence at a bearing of 202° 55′ for a distance of 420·4 links, thence at a bearing of 51° 19′ for a distance of 662·4 links, thence at a bearing of 133° 47′ for a distance of 1712·4 links, thence at a bearing of 97° 44′ for a distance of 2192·4 links, thence at a bearing of 186° 6′ for a distance of 1444·3 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid distances a little more or less.

Also all that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 34 perches, more or less, being Section 9x, Block XXVII, Wairaki Survey District, and bounded on the west by a public road at a bearing of 11° 52′ for a distance of 130·3 links, thence at a bearing of 141° 46′ for a distance of 250 links; thence on the south by the Ohai River, thence at a bearing of 321° 46′ for a distance of 175 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid distances a little more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/688, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For endowments for primary education.

Trustees for the Te Aroha Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

WILLIAM MACKIE and
WALTER EDWARD SMITH

to be trustees, in the place of James Buchanan Thomas, who has resigned, and Walter Norrell, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Te Aroha Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Thomas Stanley, sen., John Benjamin Johnson, William T. W. Hughes, George Cowley, Alfred Bossons, and Frederick William Wild, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Judges appointed to try Electoral Petition.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

In the matter of the Legislature Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Legislature Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, I hereby nominate the Honourable Sir Robert Stout and the Honourable Frederick Revans Chapman, being respectively Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, to be the Judges before whom shall take place the trial of the election petition following, that is to say:—

The petition of William Horne Hargreaves Young, of Stratford, Auctioneer, George Hall, of Stratford, Farmer, and John Bird Hine, of Stratford, Farmer, against the return and election of Robert Masters as member of Parliament for the Electoral District of Stratford, praying that a scrutiny may be made of the votes given and tendered at the said election, and that it may be determined that the said Robert Masters was not duly elected or returned and that his election was void, and that the petitioner John Bird Hine was duly elected and ought to have been returned. Alternatively it may be determined that the said Robert Masters was not duly elected or returned and that the election was void.
