Authorizing the Amuri County Council to erect a Monument on Main North Road, as a Permanent War Memorial.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of December, 1920.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve the provision by the Amuri County Council of a monument as a permanent war memorial, as provided by the said section; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby approve of the erection of such monument on that portion of Main North Road in the County of Amuri described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, in Block VI, Culverden Survey District, being that portion of the road reserves included within a radius of five chains from Trig. Station CC, Red Post.

Authorizing the Makara County Council to erect a Monument in Makara Road, Makara, as a Permanent War Memorial.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of December, 1920.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as the “said section”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve the provision by the Makara County Council of a monument as a permanent war memorial, as provided by the said section; and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby approve of the erection of such monument on that portion of Makara Road, in the County of Makara, described in the Schedule hereto.

That portion of the Makara Road fronting the Anglican church-site, Makara (part of Section 23, Makara Registration District).

Closing Paihia Cemetery, County of Bay of Islands.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of December, 1920.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor-General that burials in the Paihia Cemetery, in the County of Bay of Islands, which said cemetery is described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery not within the limits of any borough or town district has been provided, and has been prepared for the interment of the dead, as required by the Cemeteries Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said Cemeteries Act, 1908, doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, burials within the Paihia Cemetery, in the County of Bay of Islands, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and, further, that the said cemetery shall, from and after the said first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, be vested in the vestry of the Church of England at Paihia, under the provisions and for the purposes of the seventy-eighth section of the said Cemeteries Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
PAIHIA CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Lots numbered 8 and 9 of Section 1, Village of Paihia, on a plan numbered 1217 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland.

Vesting a Cemetery Reserve in the Corporation of the Borough of Birkenhead.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of September, 1920.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a public cemetery: And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Birkenhead:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Birkenhead, in trust, for a public cemetery.
