IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Ruakaka Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Regulations under the Prisons Act, 1908, amended.
[L.S.] JELLICOE, Governor-General. A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section eight of the Prisons Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation make regulations prescribing the duties of the officers of prisons, the safe custody, the classification, hours of labour, the diet, the remission of portions of sentences by marks, and other matters pertaining to the management and control of the prisons and of the prisoners confined therein: And whereas regulations in that behalf were duly made on the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and it is expedient to amend the same as hereinafter provided :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers so conferred upon me by the said section, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that of the regulations so made and proclaimed the following regulations shall cease to have operation on and from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, namely :-Regulations 3 to 11 inclusive, prescribing the duties and powers of the Inspector of Prisons and the Deputy Inspector of Prisons ; Regulation 164, prescribing the routine of duties for the prisons ; Regulations 296 to 329, prescribing the classification of prisoners sentenced to hard labour ; Regulations 341 to 356, prescribing rules for the remission of sentences, and gratuities to be paid prisoners sentenced to hard labour on their release or discharge ; and Regulations 389 and 390, prescribing the diet for all classes of prisoners.
