Fixing Rates and Charges for Telephone Toll Communications.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of November, 1920.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twentieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the twenty-third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, regulations were made and rates and charges fixed under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), inter alia, for telephone toll communications: And whereas it is expedient to amend such regulations and rates and charges in the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulations and rates and charges under the heading “Toll Communications,” in the Schedule to the above-recited Order in Council, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulations and fix the rates and charges set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth declare that the regulations hereby made and the rates and charges fixed shall come into force on and after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

TELEPHONE TOLL COMMUNICATIONS.

THE following are the charges to be paid for the use of the Government telephone toll lines in New Zealand.

NOTE.—Urgent communications at any time are charged double the fees shown under the heading 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. They take precedence of all others.

*NOTE.—For communications from subscribers speaking from their own telephones, half these rates up to 25 miles only.

The special rates applicable to ordinary communications between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. shall not apply to urgent communications, and shall apply only at telephone exchanges which are open after 10 p.m.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of December, 1920.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Dairy Industry Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations under the said Act made by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred, and gazetted on the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one, by deleting from clause six thereof the reference to five shillings, and substituting therefor the words “ten shillings”; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.
