to and along the southern boundaries of Sections 38 and 17
for a distance of 42 chains; thence north-easterly along a
right line bearing 35°, distance 88 chains, to the north-eastern
corner of Section 44, Block XIII; thence due east along a
right line for a distance of 33 chains, and north-easterly along
a right line bearing 57°, distance 40 chains, to a point on the
eastern side of a road intersecting Section 17, Block XIV,
Wairarapa Survey District; thence north-easterly along the
eastern side of that road to the north-eastern boundary of
the said Section 17, and along that boundary, the northern
boundary of Section 38 and the western boundaries of Sec-
tions 39 and 19 to the Opoura Stream; thence along that
stream to the western boundary of Section 7, Block XV;
thence northerly along that boundary and the western bound-
ary of Section 8, Block XI, to the Makahi Stream, and along
that stream to the north-western boundary of Section 33,
Block XI; thence along that boundary and the north-western
boundary of Section 32, Block XI, to the place of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1920.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has
become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth,
Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule
hereto to be Crown land.


SCHEDULE.

NGATIHAUPOTO No. 39A, being part Section 130, Block I,
Opunake Survey District: Approximate area, 3 acres 0 roods
22 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 14th day of December, 1920.
