No. 72B 1A, and No. 72B 1B Blocks, and the western boundaries of Sections 1, 3, 5, 30, and 6, Block XI, Mapara Survey District, to the Mangateka Road, and southerly along that road to the northern boundary of Section 1, Block IV, Aria Survey District; thence along that boundary and the western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, and 6, and the northern and western boundaries of Section 7, Block IV, Aria Survey District; thence along the north-western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 61C Section 4 and No. 61C Section 3 to the Ohura-Mokau Road; thence north-westerly along that road to the northern boundary of Section 6, Block VII, Aria Survey District, and along the northern boundaries of the said Section 6, Section 5, Block VII, Sections 9 and 7, Block VI, and Section 9, Block V, Aria Survey District, to the southern boundary of Block V; thence along that boundary and the southern boundary of Block II, Mokau Survey District, to the Mokau River; thence up that river to the south-western boundary of Mangapapa B No. 1 Block; thence along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Mangaawakino No. 2B and No. 3 Blocks, the north-eastern and northern boundaries of eastern portion of Mangaawakino No. 4 Block, the northern boundaries of Mangaawakino No. 1C and No. 1A Blocks, to the eastern boundary of Mahoenui No. 6 Block; thence northerly along that boundary to the Awakino River, and down that river to the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Awakino North Survey District; thence along that boundary, the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 3, Block IV, the eastern boundaries of Sections 2 and 4, Block II, Awakino North Survey District, the eastern boundaries of Sections 10, 9, 7, and 5, Block XI, Whareorino Survey District, Sections 9 and 8, Block VIII, Whareorino Survey District, and Section 11, Block IX, Maungamangero Survey District, to the point of commencement.

Constituting the Te Awamutu - Putaruru Railway District in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided in section three of the Local Railways Act, 1914, that any continuous area may be constituted a railway district under the said Act in manner therein provided:

And whereas a petition praying that the area described in the First Schedule hereto may be constituted a railway district under the said Act was presented to the Governor-General on the eleventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen:

And whereas such petition was publicly notified in the Waipa Post dated the third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, being a newspaper circulating in the proposed railway district:

And whereas the Governor-General is of opinion that the petition should be granted subject to the boundaries of the proposed railway district being altered as hereinafter appears:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the proposed boundaries and proclaim the district with the altered boundaries, as described in the Second Schedule hereto, to be a railway district; and I do hereby assign to such district the name of Te Awamutu-Putaruru Railway District.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land situated in the Waipa, West Taupo, and Matamata Counties, bounded commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 134, Puniu Parish, in a south-easterly direction by a road forming the north-eastern boundary of the said allotment; thence generally in north-easterly, easterly, and south-easterly directions by the said road along the north-western boundary of Allotments 7, 5, 4, and 3, said parish, and the northern and north-eastern boundaries of said Allotment 3, the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 16 and 19, said parish, the north-western boundary of said Allotment 19 and Allotment 20, said parish; thence generally in a south-easterly direction by the said road along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 20 to 29 (inclusive) and 31, said parish, to its junction with the boundary between the said Waipa and West Taupo Counties; thence in a north-easterly direction by the said county boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 1, Block I, Maungatautari Survey District; thence generally in a south-easterly direction by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the blocks called Moanavale Estate A, B, and C to its intersection with the northern boundary of Lot 8 of Pukekura Nos. 15/17; thence generally in easterly, northerly, easterly, and south-easterly directions by the northern, western, northern, and north-eastern boundaries of said Lot 8 and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 9 of Pukekura Nos. 15/17 to the north-western boundary of Maungatautari No. 3 Block; thence by such last-mentioned boundary to the stream forming the western boundary of Maungatautari 1A No. 1; thence in northerly, easterly, southerly, and easterly directions by the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Maungatautari 1A No. 1 and the northern boundary of Maungatautari No. 2A to the road forming the western boundary of Section 7, Block III, Maungatautari Survey District; thence in northerly and north-easterly directions by said road to the stream forming the western boundary of Lots 8 and 4 of Horahora Estate A and B; thence by such stream to its junction with the Waikato River at the north-western corner of said Lot 4; thence in an easterly direction by the said river to its junction with a stream forming the north-western boundary of Section 22, Paeroa Estate; thence by the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of said Section 22 to a road; thence in a south-easterly direction by such road along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 22 to 28 (inclusive), Paeroa Estate, to the northern boundary of Section 21, Tirau Estate; thence by the northern and eastern boundaries of said Section 21 to a road on the northern boundary of Section 31, Tirau Estate; thence by such road to the eastern boundary of said Section 31; thence generally in a southerly direction by the eastern boundaries of Sections 31 and 32, Tirau Estate, and by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 42/4 to the northern boundary of Section 41, Tirau Estate; thence by the northern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of such last-mentioned section and the eastern boundary of Sections 7 and 6, Block V, Patetere North Survey District, to the northern boundary of Section 12, said Block V; thence by the northern, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of said Section 12 to the Waotu-Putaruru Road; thence by a road forming the eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 14 and 13, Block X, Patetere North Survey District, to the eastern corner of Parapara Block; thence by the south-eastern boundary of that block to its junction with the eastern boundary of Section 54, Block IX, said survey district; thence by the eastern boundary of that section and the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 3, Block XIII, said survey district, to a road on the eastern boundary of Section 42, Block XIII, said survey district; thence in a southerly direction by the said road and section-line, and by the eastern boundary of Waotu North 2F and 2G; thence by the southern boundary of Waotu North 2G to the north-eastern corner of Waotu South C No. 6, Block I, Patetere South Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of that section to its intersection with a line on the northern boundary of Waotu South No. 10B, and following that line along the northern boundary of Waotu South Nos. 12 and 13; thence along the eastern boundary of said Section 13 to its junction with a road-line; thence following that road-line to north-eastern corner of Waotu South No. 10C; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section and the southern boundaries of Waotu South Nos. 14 and 9 to its intersection with a line on the eastern boundary of Matanuku No. 3; thence by the eastern, northern, and southern boundaries of Matanuku No. 3 to the eastern boundary of Matanuku No. 2; thence following the eastern and southern boundaries of Matanuku No. 2 to the Waikato River; thence following the river to the south-eastern corner of Wharepuhunga No. 19; thence by the south-eastern boundary of that block to its intersection with line on the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block III, Ranginui Survey District; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of that section and the southern boundaries of Sections 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block III, and Sections 1 and 4, Block II, said survey district; thence by the western boundaries of Sections 4 and 3, Block
