His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments and promotions of the undermentioned officers on active service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 90, N.Z.E.F. Orders.
AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain (temp. Major) G. Hovey, from D.A.A.G., N.Z.E.F. (U.K.), to be D.A.A.G., N.Z.E.F., vice Major L. G. D. Acland, M.C., N.Z. Army Service Corps, returning to New Zealand for demobilization, and retains the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated 18th February, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) S. C. Reid, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 27th March, 1919.
Lieutenant T. W. Aickin to be Adjutant, vice Lieutenant S. C. Reid, M.C., and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 27th March, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. C. Self to be Quartermaster, N.Z. training units and depots in Egypt, vice Lieutenant

Captain T. L. Gibbs performed the duties of Commandant, Headquarters, N.Z.E.F. in Egypt, vice Lieutenant-Colonel D. A. Chaytor, C.M.G., on leave, from 9th March, 1919, to 31st March, 1919.
WELLINGTON MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major J. B. Hine to be Second in Command of the regiment, vice Major J. B. Davis, to date 19th January, 1919, and relinquishes the appointment on proceeding to Base for embarkation to New Zealand. Dated 3rd April, 1919.
Captain (temp. Major) P. J. Cotton to be Second in Command of the regiment, vice Major J. B. Hine, returning to New Zealand for demobilization. Dated 3rd April, 1919.
Lieutenant W. G. Lyons, returning to New Zealand for demobilization, relinquishes the appointment of A.D.C. to G.O.C., Desert Mounted Corps. Dated 2nd April, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. S. Fossett, to U.K. for discharge, relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster, N.Z. training units and depots in Egypt, but retains the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 28th March, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Major) C. B. Easter relinquishes the temporary rank of Major, on Major J. B. Hine rejoining, but retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst Second in Command of a squadron. Dated 30th March, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) G. E. Jago relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain, on Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. B. Easter resuming the duties of Second in Command of a squadron. Dated 30th March, 1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. B. Easter is granted the temporary rank of Major, vice Major J. B. Hine, to Base for embarkation to New Zealand. Dated 3rd April, 1919.
