Trustees appointed for Pokeno Public Hall Site.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1883, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

FREDERIC SAMUEL BAXTER LOWERY,
SAMUEL MCCLAY,
EDWARD HAYWARD, and
SAMUEL O'LEARY

to be trustees of the Pokeno Public Hall site, Allotment 144a of Section 1, Parish of Mangatawhiri North, Auckland Land District, in the place of James Graham, James Thomas Dean, Samuel Percy Prendergrast, Thomas Joseph Senn, John Craig, and Thomas John Hicks, previously appointed by notification in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, who have ceased to be trustees by reason of death, resignation, or removal from the district.

WHEREAS by section two of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1908, it is enacted that any information or complaint and any affidavit of the service of any summons authorized by or required for the purpose of the principal Act may be sworn, taken, or received before or by either a Justice or the Clerk of the Court constituted under the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1908, or the deputy of such Clerk, if such Clerk of Court or deputy has been authorized so to do by Warrant under the hand of the Governor-General:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section two of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1908, do hereby authorize

CECIL JOHN HEWLETT,

Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, to take and receive any information or complaint and any affidavit of the service of any summons, as provided in the aforesaid section of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1908.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
