THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. R. Black, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Major, vice Major J. B. Hine, detached on educational duties (E.E.F.), to date 30th January, 1919, and relinquishes the temporary rank of Major but retains the temporary rank of Captain, on Captain W. R. Foley, M.C., rejoining the squadron. Dated 11th March, 1919.

Captain W. R. Foley, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Major, vice Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. R. Black, M.C., relinquished the temporary rank. Dated 11th March, 1919.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 40, of 3rd April, 1919, relating to Captain J. B. Hine, is cancelled, and the following substituted:—

Captain J. B. Hine to be Major, under N.Z.E.F. Regulation 36, with seniority from 13th June, 1918, but with pay of Major as from 3rd August, 1918, being the date he assumed the duties of Major.

Lieutenant A. G. Simpson is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. R. Black, M.C., temporarily commanding the squadron, to date 30th January, 1919, and relinquishes the temporary rank on Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. R. Black, M.C., resuming the appointment of Second in Command of the squadron. Dated 11th March, 1919.

Captain W. J. Hardham, V.C., to be Major, vice Major A. S. Wilder, D.S.O., M.C., seconded for duty as Commandant, Desert Mounted Corps Rest Camp, Port Said. Dated 15th May, 1918.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of 19th June, 1919, relating to Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. S. Fossett, for the words “Dated 18th January, 1919,” read “Dated 1st January, 1919.”

Lieutenant E. R. Wells, M.C., ceases to be seconded for special service. Dated 28th January, 1919.

Major R. Miles, D.S.O., M.C., R.N.Z.A., returning to New Zealand, relinquishes the appointment of Brigade Major. Dated 6th March, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. F. Vial, returning to New Zealand for demobilization, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 3rd Brigade. Dated 3rd March, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. Mayer, M.C., returning to New Zealand for demobilization, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 2nd Brigade. Dated 4th March, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) A. J. Flett, returning to New Zealand for demobilization, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 1st Brigade, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 10th March, 1919.

Captain (temp. Major) P. A. Keddell ceases to be seconded for duty as Commandant, XXII Corps Reception Camp, but retains the temporary rank of Major. Dated 5th April, 1919.
