against their names, are hereby appointed Transmitting and
Receiving Officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices
by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and
of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any
such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or

Service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the appointments, promotions, and
transfers of the undermentioned officers on active service
with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 88, N.Z.E.F.
Orders.

COMMANDS AND STAFF.

Lieutenant-Colonel H. M. Wilson, D.S.O., Rifle Brigade, rejoined the British Army, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. Dated 1st April, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) A. E. Stewart, D.S.O., returning to New Zealand for demobilization, relinquishes the command of “A” Group, N.Z.E.F., Sling. Dated 10th April, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) R. Young, C.M.G., D.S.O., to Command “A” Group, N.Z.E.F., Sling, vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) A. E. Stewart, D.S.O., returning to New Zealand for demobilization. Dated 10th April, 1919.

AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.

The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants, supernumerary to Establishment:—

13/77, Squadron Sergeant-Major F. A. Haliday. Dated 3rd March, 1919.

7/1250, Sergeant-Major F. A. Juggins. Dated 6th March, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. Tennant ceases to be employed on the Training Cadre, but retains the temporary rank of Captain, vice Captain (temp. Major) J. S. Barker, temporarily commanding a squadron. Dated 1st March, 1919.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of 19th June, 1919, relating to Lieutenant E. C. Gardener, for the words “Dated 18th January, 1919,” read “Dated 1st January, 1919.”
