Altering Boundaries of Mangahoe Drainage District, County of Waipa.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Waipa, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the Mangahoe Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such drainage district in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Mangahoe Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such addition as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO MANGAHOE DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west by the Waipa County from the westernmost corner of Section 1, Blocks VIII and XII, Puniu Survey District, to the Puahue-Hairini Road; thence towards the north-east generally by that road, the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Puahue No. 2 No. 13 Block, by the north-eastern boundaries of Puahue No. 2 No. 11 Block, and the northern boundary of Maungatautari 4E No. 1 Block; thence towards the east generally by the eastern boundary of Maungatautari 4E No. 1 Block to a public road intersecting 4E No. 1 aforesaid; thence by that road to its intersection with the main Kihikihi-Waotu Road; and towards the south by that road to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
MANGAHOE DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by the Mangapiko Stream from the north-western corner of Section 321 to Section 250, Puniu Parish, and by that section and a right line from the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section to the north-western corner of Section 131; thence by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 131, 130, and 125 and its continuation along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 124, 123, 122, 3, and 16 to the road forming the north-western boundary of Section 19; thence by that road and its continuation along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 31; thence by the boundary between Waipa and West Taupo Counties to the Puahue-Hairini Road; thence towards the north-east generally by that road, the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Puahue No. 2 No. 13 Block, by the north-eastern boundaries of Puahue No. 2 No. 11 Block, and the northern boundary of Maungatautari 4E No. 1 Block; thence towards the east generally by the eastern boundary of Maungatautari 4E No. 1 Block to a public road intersecting 4E No. 1 aforesaid; thence by that road to its intersection with the main Kihikihi-Waotu Road; and towards the south by that road to the Town District of Kihikihi, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 128, 7th December, 1883; thence by that town district and the Te Awamutu Road, passing Sections 14, 12, 138, 139, and 136, Puniu Parish aforesaid, to the Town District of Te Awamutu, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 110, 3rd October, 1884; thence by Sloan Street and Alexandra Road in the said town district, intersecting Section 321, Mangapiko Parish, to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 320 in the Town District of Te Awamutu aforesaid; and thence by that road to the Mangapiko Stream, the place of commencement.

Amending the License authorizing the Dunedin City Council to erect Electric Lines in Part of the Provincial District of Otago.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of May, 1919.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations prescribing the conditions on which any license may be issued under the said section:
And whereas by an Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, the Dunedin City Council was authorized to erect electric lines in part of the Provincial District of Otago subject to certain terms and conditions (hereinafter called the “said terms and conditions”):
And whereas application has been made by the Dunedin City Council to amend the said terms and conditions, and it is expedient to make such amendments accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion doth hereby amend the said terms and conditions as follows:—
AMENDMENTS.

Clause 2: By inserting, after the word “volts” in the sixth line, the words and figures “or 11,500 volts.”

By substituting the following clause in lieu of clause 4:—
“4. NEUTRAL WIRES.
“The neutral point of one or more of the generators in service shall be earthed.
“The neutral point of each star connection of the 35,000 volt system shall be earthed at one point and one point only. The neutral of the primary distribution at 3,300 volts or 11,500 volts shall be earthed at least at one point and may be earthed at several points. The earth may be used for the neutral return for transformers not exceeding 20 kilowatts at 1,900 volts or 6,600 volts situated more than four miles from the Chief Post-office, Dunedin. The neutral point of each secondary distributing system shall be earthed at one point and one point only. The earth shall not be utilized as the return for any low-pressure circuits.”

Clause 8: By inserting, after the word “volts” in the 27th line, the words and figures “and 11,500 volts.”

Clause 9: By substituting in the 5th line the words “extra high pressure” for the words and figures “a pressure of 35,000 volts.”

Amendments to Regulations under the Education Act, 1914.—Educational Bursaries.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Education Act, 1914, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following amendments in the regulations for educational bursaries made by Order in Council dated the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen; and doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
