The Town of Waimarino is situated on the North Island Main Trunk Railway, thirty-one miles south of Taumarunui and twenty-one miles north of Ohakune. All the sections are level, and covered with tussock and native grass. The elevation is 2,636 ft. above sea-level. A new tourist coach-road, which is one of the most interesting drives in the Dominion, has been completed between Waimarino and Tokaanu, and is used as a mail route.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Situated near the junction of Kiekie and Murimotu Roads, about six miles from Hunter ville, the access being from Mangaonoho Railway-station, which is about three miles distant by good metalled road. Flat land, partly grassed. Soil is of heavy loam, on clay formation. A few patches of scrub and one or two pine-trees remain.
