day of that month, the control of Section 7, Block II, Raurimu Township, in the Wellington Land District, a reserve for a site for a public hall, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Raurimu Public Hall Board, in pursuance of section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is desirable that James Henry Tate, Esquire, of Raurimu, should be appointed a member of the said Board, in place of Walter Clark, who has resigned :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby appoint the said

JAMES HENRY TATE

to be a member of the Raurimu Public Hall Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of August hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Walter Clark, who has resigned.

Vesting Reserves in the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of April, 1919.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for river-conservation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board, in trust, for river-conservation purposes.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

Town of Manunui.—Manunui Town District.

SECTION 118: Area, 2 roods 9 perches; upset price, £50.
Section 146: Area, 2 roods 9 perches; upset price, £75.
Weighted with £200, valuation for improvements.

Manunui is situated about five miles from Taumarunui on Main Trunk Railway. These sections are within easy access from Manunui Railway-station. Flat cleared land, with a light pumiceous soil on papa formation. The improvements on Section 146 comprise a seven-roomed house and fencing.

Town of Piriaka.—Kaitieke County.

Piriaka is situated on the left bank of the Wanganui River, on the Main Trunk Railway, about five miles south-east from railway-bridge over that river at Matapuna. The sections offered comprise undulating pumice land with a few inches of soil, covered with manuka.

RURAL LAND.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.

Section 79, Block VI: Area, 94 acres 0 roods 32 perches; upset price, £940.

Situated immediately to the east of Kakahi Township, on Tongariro Timber Company’s railway-line, the access being by the Totika or Whakaraparapa Roads. Scrubby land, with light soil on pumiceous subsoil.

Kaitieke County.—Kaitieke Survey District.

Section 1, Block IV: Area, 1 rood 8 perches; upset price, £80.

Weighted with £2,500, valuation for improvements.

Situated between main road and railway immediately to the south of Owhango Railway-station. The improvements comprise boardinghouse, twenty-two rooms, store and outbuildings.

Suburban Land.

Section 10, Block V: Area, 2 acres 2 roods; upset price, £75.

The Town of Raurimu is situated on Main Trunk Railway opposite Raurimu Railway-station, about twenty-six miles south of Taumarunui and about thirty miles north of Raetihi. All the sections under offer comprise open land more or less in grass; Sections 8 and 13, Block X, and Section 5, Block XI, have small watercourses running through them. All the others are good dry building-sites fronting main road. Section 10, Block V, is cut about by small streams.
