Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

The Town of Raetihi is situated on main road between Pipiriki and Ohakune, about eight miles from the latter. It is the terminus of a branch railway from Ohakune, and is the centre of an extensive district with which it is connected by roads in all directions.

Most of the sections under offer are flat; soil good. Elevation is about 1,700 ft. above sea-level.

NOTE.—Sections 2, 3, and 20, Block XXI, are offered subject to an easement granted to the Ohakune Borough Council, 15 ft. wide, through them for construction and maintenance of a water fluming or conduit for electric-lighting purposes.

Ohakune Township is situated on the Main Trunk Railway, nearly midway between Auckland and Wellington. The main township, which is over a mile distant from the railway-station, is the outlet of a splendid sawmilling and dairying district. The railway to Raetihi branches off at Ohakune.

Sections 3 and 4, Block VI, comprise open land, with soil of pumice nature on volcanic-grit formation. The other sections for the most part are flat, covered with bush; light soil, partly on clay and partly on grit formation.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Town of Taihape.

Subdivision of Section 1, Block II.

Lot 1: Area, 17·2 perches; upset price, £525.
Lot 2: Area, 17·2 perches; upset price, £300.

Situated in central and business portion of Taihape Township at corner of Main Road and Huia Street. Lot 1 has a frontage to Main Street of 21 ft., and Lot 2 a frontage to Huia Street of 66 ft. Both lots comprise level land suitable as business-sites.

NOTE.—The owners of the improvements on these lots, conditionally on a permit being granted by the Commissioner so to do, will be allowed one month from date of sale in which to remove them in the event of these lots not being purchased by them.

Ohinewairua Survey District.—Borough of Taihape.

Lot 1 of Section 82, Block XIV: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 18 perches; upset price, £250.
Lot 2 of Section 82, Block XIV: Area, 2 acres 0 roods 18 perches; upset price, £200.

Situated on main road about one-quarter of a mile to south of Taihape Township. Flat to undulating land, formerly under bush but now mostly in grass. Good soil, on papa formation. Suitable as sites for suburban residences.

Pukioire Village.—Rangitikei County.

Sections 13 and 14: Area, 1 acre; upset price, £16.

Situated near the junction of Kiekie and Murimotu Roads, about six miles from Hunter ville, the access being from Mangaonoho Railway-station, which is about three miles distant by good metalled road. Flat land, partly grassed. Soil is of heavy loam, on clay formation. A few patches of scrub and one or two pine-trees remain.

Opening Settlement Land in Southland Land District for Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
