Grading of Teachers Regulation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourteenth day of April, 1919.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Education Act, 1914, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the amendment set out in the Schedule hereto in the regulations relating to the grading of teachers made on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen; and doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
CLAUSE 17 of the said regulations is hereby amended by deleting the words “31st day of July,” and substituting therefor the words “31st day of May.”

Licensing John Glyn Parry to occupy a Portion of the Land between High and Low Water Marks in the Pukapuka Creek, Rodney County, and to reclaim such Land.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section thirty-nine of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that in the case of lands between high and low water marks which belong to the Crown, and on which at high-water spring tides the depth of water is not sufficient for purposes of navigation, the Governor-General in Council may grant occupation licenses for periods not exceeding twenty-one years, at such rent and on such conditions as he thinks fit, and any such lease may contain a provision authorizing the lessee to reclaim the land the subject of the lease without complying with the requirements of section forty-one of the said Act :
And whereas it is desirable to license John Glyn Parry (hereinafter called “the licensee”) to occupy a part of the land between high and low water marks, belonging to the Crown, in the Pukapuka Creek, on which at high-water spring tides the depth of water is not sufficient for purposes of navigation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby license the licensee to occupy the piece of land between high and low water marks of spring tides in the Pukapuka Creek, containing one rood fourteen perches, more or less, as shown edged red on plan marked M.D. 4991, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington; and doth also authorize the licensee to reclaim the land subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

THE licensee shall pay to the Marine Department an annual rent of £1, the first of such annual payments to be made on the licensee being supplied with a copy of this Order in Council.

The licensee shall keep any stop-banks which he may construct for the purpose of reclaiming the land included in this license in good order and condition, and shall provide and maintain all necessary outlets for storm-water.

The licensee shall keep the land included in this license free from noxious weeds.

The licensee shall not assign, charge, or part with any right, power, or privilege granted by this license without the previous written consent of the Minister of Marine.

The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this Order in Council shall continue in force for twenty-one years from the date hereof, unless in the meantime such rights, powers, or privileges shall be altered, modified, or revoked by competent authority.

If the licensee commits or suffers a breach of any of the conditions of this license, the license may be revoked and determined by the Governor-General in Council; and publication of a notice of such revocation in the New Zealand Gazette shall be sufficient notice thereof to the licensee, and all persons concerned or interested in this license, that it has been revoked and determined.

Order in Council constituting Rodney County Council a Special District under the Auctioneers Act, 1891, revoked.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made under the Auctioneers Act, 1891, dated the ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, the County of Rodney was declared a special district for the purposes of the said Act :
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Order in Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Auctioneers Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the above-mentioned Order in Council dated the ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, as on and from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Portions of Redmond, Haldane, and Birrell Streets in the Borough of Gisborne declared to be under the Control and Management of the Gisborne Borough Council.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourteenth day of April, 1919.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of streets described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Gisborne Borough Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Redmond Street, situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Gisborne, adjoining Lots 1 to 7 of Lot 9, Matawhero B or 5 Block, Block II, Turanganui Survey District.
Also all that portion of Haldane Street, situated in the said land district and borough, adjoining Lots 8 to 14 of Lot 9, Matawhero B or 5 Block, Block II, Turanganui Survey District.
Also all that portion of Birrell Street, situated in the said land district and borough, adjoining Lots 1 and 8 of Lot 9, Matawhero B or 5 Block, Haldane Street, and Lot 15 of Lot 9 aforesaid, Block II, Turanganui Survey District.
As the said portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45562, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.
