THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the
authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General
may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown
land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909 :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land
set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
MANAIA No. 107 Block, Subdivisions 4 and 5B 2 : Approximate
area, 9 acres 0 roods 14 perches ; Tiffin Survey District.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Block X, Christchurch
Survey District, Canterbury Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of April, 1919.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the First Schedule
hereto was heretofore duly set apart as a reserve for
a public library : And whereas it is expedient that the said
land should be exchanged for the land described in the
Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems
of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the
reserve :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land de-
scribed in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being part of Rural
Section 85, Block X, Christchurch Survey District, bounded
as follows : Commencing at a point on the eastern side of
the road which forms the western boundary of said Rural
Section 85, distant 900 links from the Riccarton Road ;
thence towards the north-east and south by the other part
of the said Rural Section 85, 250, 100, and 250 links respec-
tively ; and towards the west by the aforesaid public road,
100 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/208, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and
thereon coloured green.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE
THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 20 perches, more or less, being part of
Rural Section 56, Block X, Christchurch Survey District,
and also being part of Lot 2 on deposited plan No. 201,
bounded as follows : Towards the north by Lot 21 of D.P. 201,
50 links ; towards the east by Lot 1, D.P. 201, 250 links ;
towards the south by the Riccarton Road, 50 links ; and
towards the west by other part of Lot 2, D.P. 201, 250 links.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/1/208B, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands
other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of April, 1919.

IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further
period of six months the Order in Council dated the thirtieth
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and
gazetted the second day of May, one thousand nine hun-
dred and eighteen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native
lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in
favour of the Crown.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and clause
fifty of the regulations relating to electric lines published in
the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the delegation and assign-
ment to McEwen, Hutton, and Company (Limited), a company
duly incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act,
1908, by the Waiuku Town Board of its rights, powers, and
privileges under the license dated the thirtieth day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, as set forth in the
deed of delegation dated the fifteenth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen, between the Waiuku
Town Board and McEwen, Hutton, and Company (Limited).
