Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Leslie Potter, N.Z. Staff Corps,
is appointed Area Officer, No. 1 Group, Auckland Military

Lieut.-Colonel Arthur Vere Bettington, C.M.G., Royal Air
Force, is appointed Air Force Adviser to the N.Z. Govern-
ment, and is granted the temporary rank of Colonel whilst
so employed. Dated 2nd February, 1919.
Major Alfred de Bathe Brandon, D.S.O., M.C., Royal Air
Force, is appointed Staff Officer to the Air Force Adviser.

Lieut.-Colonel Alexander Robertson Falconer, M.B., N.Z.
Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant
Director of Medical Services, Otago Military District.

Lieut.-Colonel George Edward Gabites, M.B., N.Z. Medical
Corps, is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services,
Otago Military District. Dated 1st April, 1919.
The Reverend Daniel Cross Bates, Chaplain to the Forces,
2nd Class, relinquishes his commission in the N.Z. Chaplains
Department on transfer to the Reserve of Officers, General
List, and is temporarily attached to the Department of the
Chief of the General Staff for Meteorological Research in
connection with air services, and is granted the honorary
rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 27th January, 1919.
Captain Frank Lawton Hindley, O.B.E., Reserve of Officers
(temp.), is appointed Deputy Director of Base Records.

Major Albert Arthur Corrigan, 5th (Wellington) Regiment,
Reserve of Officers, relinquishes the appointment of Group
Commander, Group No. 5, Wellington Military District.
